    I received my xbox a short while ago and was hearing a noise as in this video from another user.

    In my case the noise is so loud that having the xbox turned off and sitting on my desk makes focusing on work impossible.

    After speaking with the support team multiple times, I not only went to the local Microsoft store - which did not help - but also sent it in for repair. (Mind you that microsoft is charging you shipping although it is their product and it is under warranty).

    It took weeks to get the xbox (xbox live is now expired) and my controller back, which is poorly manufactured and has a moving part on the grip. It is super annoying when one is trying to play a game.

    3 weeks later I got everything back - IN THE SAME EXACT CONDITION.

    What kind of customer service is this? No detailed repair report, No explanation of any kind.

    I spent money on the console, games, xbox live and honestly would love to return it all and get myself a playstation. This is totally unacceptable.

    Xbox one S power supply

    Hello

    My 2 week old xbox one S is set up to save energy, but listening closely I hear a noise typical of electrical components that are going to burn, a noise like something that fries and i'm sure that is the internal power supply. Is this the normal electrical
    noise of the console when completely turned off? In the past 2 appliances with this noise inside died after 2 months

    Xbox one controller making noise

    I'm talking about the electrical buzzing noise when you put your ear right next to the xbox logo on the controller. I have vibration turned off by the way and I'm still hearing it.

    So if you leave your Xbox One console in "Instant-On" mode, this does not happen? Have you tried to see if this happens with a different outlet in your home? Also, do you notice any performance issues with your Xbox One?

    Hello again, are you leaving it in Standby or are you doing the complete shutdown, because even in Standby it shouldn't make any noise, it can make a very low noise but you would have to put your ear against the console to hear it.

    Xbox Series X - even with the console fully shut down, if I place my ear at the top I can hear a buzz like there’s a current. No fan spinning etc.

    Hello Nova1989, are you referring to your Xbox power supply, what console model do you have, is it the Xbox One Fat that has the external power supply, or some other type of model?
