Electric shock from xbox console

Xbox one electric shock. Did anyone expetiance this ? Its a new purchase and i see this issue out of box.

Yesterday my TVs inbuilt DVD player stopped working when I started to check the cables I discovered that some of the RCA jacks from my xboxs av cable are giving off electrical shocks. I'm finding it difficult to contact Xbox to tell them of this dangerous
fault. Obviously I've unplugged the power unit. But I feel this needs checked out by Xbox as I don't know if its the console or power unit or leads. How do get someone to look at this problem?

 

It happened to me when I was playing the console in the shower.

I took the necessary precautions too. I wore rubber soled shoes, wrapped the console in a plastic garbage bag and the controller in clear plastic. Because, you know I needed to see the buttons.

And with all of that I still got zapped. What am I doing wrong?

 

Good one... But i am really not joking. I just unboxed and got severe shock from console... I removed all external connectors except power. Called local electricial and he checked using mulrimeter, its running electricity on the
console body. I am scared to touch it... Packed it back.

I have never had this type of issue with any of my consoles, Can you please try contacting the Xbox Support team directly by using the
Contact Us option and when prompted either select the option to Chat with Xbox support or request a phone call from support as I believe the team have procedures in place for this.

 

Just dont know what to do... i reaxhout to them and chat support is looking like endless wait and phone call me back is showing few hours for call back.

If you live in nz or australia you have the legal right to return the console back for a refund or replacement. Its a safety fault. Whats your set up like. do you connect straight to the wall or a reliable good power board? I live in nz and support chat
is usually a 10 min wait or less. They work like 8 hours so you may need to wait if your contacting them after hours. Is your power system at home good and meet building standards?

 

Safety is important yet some people on here view it as a joke and think microsoft is above the law. they arent above the law. take it back with your receipt to the retail store you got it from. Report the incident to your GP or the hospital.
