Bethesda isn't producing this game, bud. I realize I accidentally made it sound like they were in my other post.

Don't forget about Elder Scrolls Online.

 

Bethesda is the Publisher.

It's the publisher who commissions the developer to create the game. TESO's developer and Bethesda are actually both owned by Zenimax but Bethesda is the heart and root of all things "Elder Scrolls".

The people who are on these boards will probably know lots about how a gaming subscription for an online MMO.

However of the 20 million who bought "Skyrim" how many do you think are actually active members of Internet Gaming Forums who will know exactly what they're getting into when they buy the game? Less than 1% if the figures on these boards are correct.

How will TESO hurt the sales of future Elder Scrolls Games?

"Skyrim" put a polished RPG into the hands of a mass market and the mass market loved it. Now the Publisher is relying on people's love of "Skyrim" to fuel sales of their latest offering. Many people will go into it knowing exactly what they're getting.
Many more will be in for an unpleasant surprise. The game doesn't look as good as "Skyrim" and isn't the "next Skyrim" that most people will be hoping for.

Bethesda used to be associated with the quality product of "Skyrim". When people realise they've been stiffed on "TESO" then they will drop it and be wary about buying another Bethesda Elder Scrolls title.

The game won't go free to play. But they may eventually drop the price to try and entice new subs, but it will be too little too late.

When it comes to future Elder Scrolls releases Elder Scrolls VI, anticipation will be as good as the last Elder Scrolls title which in too many people's minds will be the dissapointing "TESO".

i could see people buying it on the consoles but if they got rid off sub that is whats gona hurt the company cause they made copies for the consoles when most no doubt be buying it on the pc seems to me they should get rid of the sub no way im paying 2 fees
lol i call a strike most would agree were not pc we are console user with a sub why should we have to pay another fee just for a game

 

they should keep the sub games to the pc plain and simple instead of bringing it the consoles which already has a sub

 

its $240 bucks a year just to play eso and to keep your xbl up totally not buying it until its ftp for the console and sorry if some people buy it for the console ill just sit back and lol

 

I won't be getting this to be honestly, I have Destiny and the Division to look up to and I will just keep Playing World of Warcraft Until then, As for what other people think Meh, if down the line the game ends up being something else Entirely kinda like
a Realm Reborn ended up being, then I might give it another try because as we all know games especially Mmo's are and most always different from there released to say one two years down the line.

 

elder scrolls with OPTIONAL co-op might not be too terrible. but picture wandering around Skyrim with 100 people standing frozen because they're looking at their quest notes....10 other people in a human centipede...meanwhile somebody named "ButtMaster420"
keeps trolling you with his hate-speech about "*** this" an "n-word that"...kinda takes you out of the whole Skyrim experience...

 

Bethesda needs to quit *** around with this disaster and get busy on Fallout 4. Why would anyone in their right mind spend hundreds of dollars on this game when all you need to do is buy a low end PC and you can play all the FREE MMO's you want. For a fraction
of the cost. With equal or better quality. Oh, and did I mention the FREE part?

 

^ Bethesda Game Studios didn't develop Elder Scrolls Online so it shouldn't have any impact on their current project.

 

I understand they didn't develop this project, however they still have their hands in it, and I want their hands elsewhere. And for the record, who asked for this? The reason Skyrim did so well (sales wise) is because it was a finely crafted SINGLE player
experience. That's what the ES franchise has always been. They follow up their most successful title to date with a subscription based MMO set in the ES universe. HUH? It just seems like a middle finger to the fans of the ES. What about all the newcomers who
jumped on board with Skyrim (as indicated by it's huge sale numbers) hoping to get more of the same, only to be greeted with a $15 a month subscription in an MMO they never asked for. It just seems like Bethesda is out of touch with this one and the $20 million+
in sales should have made them very IN-touch with what the fans wanted from the Elder Scrolls.

i agree nappy plus u gota spend another 125 just to play the locked character thats alot of cash just for one game $365 bucks who ever buys it on console wake up and smell the coffee thats xbl plus the game and sub

 

i think there taking a big risk on bringing it to console due to the and buying the game and on top of paying xbl i dont see why it wouldnt go free to play i dont see alot people supporting the fee on console
