Before you can go and get Crafting Information from the Mage's Guild and other sources you require:

"The Crafting Writ".

It's on a Bulliten Board in the town.

Just keep having a look around. Once you find it the game tells you who the crafting people are and that you may begin.

 

OK thanks. I'll look for it. I was talking with a friend who has been playing this with me pretty much since it released. We're both pretty impressed with just how much depth there is to the game. Tons of stuff to do and learn.

 

I agree, and although the combat felt a bit clunky at first, once you get a sense of how to use the soft-lock system it really starts to gel. I'm hooked pretty hard at this point.

 

Word of advice.

Take the Prophet up on the first Area mission as soon as he offers it.

Stuff like becoming a crafter of potions or anything else will come with time.

The first Daily Writ I took up is virtually incompleteable as the elements I need do not grow in Stonewall. So far I've found 1 single occurence of it on Bleak Isle.

When they say "it's a marathon... not a sprint" most people here will think they know what that means but have no idea.

 

Does the console version require a separate ESO account (username/password) or does it just link it to your Xbox credentials?

Website was somewhat confusing of what the account actually requires. I'm picturing an EA style linking with Origin but it's not clear if it's that simple.

 

I was wondering about syncing an account?? Like IF I was to buy a elders scroll online at steam for $70 an played it for a couple of weeks, I can transfer it over with everything I picked up with my PC version to my Xbox One version, lol.

 

You create your own "The Elder Scrolls Online" account.

Not like EA origins or 2K's Shift where you're perma-linked to be recognised by their other sites and games. It's just your unique account for the game world. Seperate from your gamer tag and Bethesda's official boards.

 

well why did it ask me if I wanted to sync up any accounts when I fired it up on my xbox one yesterday, not to mention everyone running around with maxed out armour an horses.

Azrael was answering my question. Here is the answer to yours, this is the email they send if you have a PC account and buy the game for the console linked to that account.

Thank you for purchasing The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy.

Your account will be copied from PC/Mac to console on June 1, 2015, at 10AM EDT. Shortly after your account is copied from PC/Mac to the console of your choice, you will receive your digital game code for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.

In preparation for this transfer, please take note of the following:

This is an account copy. Once the copy is complete, your PC characters as well as your console characters will not share any items or progression. They will exist independently of one another.

All entitlements will carry over, including Imperial Edition and Explorer's Pack benefits.

ESO Plus membership status will not carry over. You will need to re-enroll in ESO Plus on your console.

Crowns will not transfer from PC/Mac to console. Any crowns left in your Crown Balance will remain on your PC character. Any items purchased with crowns will transfer to the console version.

Besides crowns, the following will also not transfer: Mail, Guilds, Guild Banks, Friends List, Ignore List, Leaderboards, and Campaign Status.

Upon completion of the account copy, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Customer Support team will be unable to restore any characters or items that may have been deleted from the PC/Mac account prior to the transfer.

It turns out that the ability to transfer from the PC was only available for a month and has ended so the above is irrelevant now.

 

It's a great game on console, but I've gone back to the PC version, the 30 minus fps on console is a deal breaker for me sadly, plus I'm used to text chat

 

well has the game been on the console or xbox one for over a month already?? My assumption is that is a mere week old on the xbox one, An I clearly saw it ask me IF I wanted to link my accounts last Friday.

 

@l Gruntreaper l lol I found it to be better on the PC myself, I whipped through it much faster, I guess I will just have to wait until November for the steam controller, I might just send back my un-opened Hard copy for this platform, seems like everything
is better on PC.

 

So whats the general consensus on this after a month?

I'll be getting it tomorrow (Birthday!) - I've been hunkering for a decent MMO on console and, as an Elder Scrolls fan, this should fill the gap nicely

I'm not expecting Witcher 3 levels of epic storytelling, but some good old fashioned 'dungeoneering' with mates and strangers alike has me looking forward to stepping into Tamriel : )

 

I'm loving the game! It has one major bug in a big mission but it is still completable just might take days lol. They are working on a fix for it and it's pretty far into the game so you should be good. I was loving the witcher but this game tore me away
and now I'm consumed by eso.
