Game's still working fine for me.

Might be a bit confounding for those people hell bent on "power levelling" because the game appears to be designed to be much more laid back.

In fact in this sense it's panning out to be much more what I was hoping for.

Got to Sheogorath's realm, tried to pick something up... told inventory was full...

No panic. Back through the portal to Tamriel, sell some stuff to Merchants, go back in and sort the quest.

Went into Nocturnal's realm, got my backside handed to me... alot... left Nocturnal's realm and can come back later when I'm ready.

Just discovered the "Crafting Notice" so I'm hopefully on my way to learning potions.

Also if you've not been to the BANK you need to go there as they allow you to store goods for free.

That's really handy, especially for Crafting Materials.

    :)

@Lofty. It's not a problem, got plenty of other games to go at while they fix ESO.

I haven't tried playing since my last post but Twitter and the ESO Forums are full of people complaining about issues with logging on, getting booted off.

Odd thing is, it all started after the developers Tweeted in the early hours of this morning saying server maintenance was finished for XB1/PS4, then the complaints started rolling in lol

( Maybe someone forgot to press the on button :/ )

Playing it now and the issues seemed to be resolved.

In fact it's the smoothest I've seen it play ( you watch it go belly up now I've said it lol ) no problems loading, no getting kicked out, no lag what so ever, even in the major towns when there's tons of other players about.

Issues aside and I've said it before but the more I play it, the more you see, the more you realise just how much there is to this game, plus the fact you can play with others, join up etc, it really is one fantastic game, best game I've personally played
in a while ( from what I've seen so far )

@ lofty once I am in the game it seems to be fine but if I use a doorway on certain quests it kicks me back to the menu. I just teleport to a way shire now as a work around.

    @ Auswulf,

I've had a few issues with doorways/portals. Either really long loading when going through and on a couple of occasions it has crashed. Luckily I went through one about 15 minutes ago on a mission and it was fine.

Sadly this day and age with any game you sort of expect issues and especially with a game like this, loads of players online there was bound to be problems ( not saying it's right ) thankfully though apart from a few hiccups that have either resulted in
me waiting for the servers to settle, log out, log back in to sort some issues it hasn't been too bad, well I've encountered nothing game breaking.

I know a few have said on the ESO forums that when the PC version released it had quite a few issues but as the weeks went on it did settle down even though it still isn't perfect.

Very very addictive game though. I wasn't sure at first but I'm totally hooked now.

  9. As Azreal said above: "Might be a bit confounding for those people hell bent on "power levelling" because the game appears to be designed to be much more laid back."

I agree...ESO seems to be encouraging people to just forget about forging to the top and just enjoy the ride. I did some checking, and there's an aspect of crafting weapons and armor that involves doing "research" on traits which can be applied at the time
of creation. There are nine tiers of these traits. Each has a cooldown before you can learn the next one in sequence, and the cooldown doubles each time. First one is 6 hours. By the time you reach the cooldown between number 8 and 9, the cooldown is 64
DAYS. That tells me that they're actively discouraging power leveling, which suits me just fine. I like a casual approach to this sort of game.

  10. Where there is a game with levels, there are those that will sell their soul to satan to get to the top.

Suits me just fine as well. Wish some of my friends would actually slow down and just play the game.

BTW, do you have any info, or know where I could find it, about learning these crafts? I just found an area full of crafting tables/vendors and I'd like to learn light armor and
    enchanting. Thanks.

  12. @ Blue Illusion: If you go to see the two crafting NPCs at the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild, each of them offers a set of tutorial quests regarding the basics. I found this really helpful. After that, the rest more or less becomes obvious. For instance,
once you see that enchanting involves finding sets of 3 runes with different shapes, then creating a glyph you use to enchant, then you know what to look for.

I play right now as a rogue with medium armor, so there are always certain materials I'm looking for. But I usually pick up anything so I can make stuff to level up.

For light armor, look for a plant called Jute (they're outside the town). You need ten of them to begin a refining process that prepares them for use in creation. After that you can find other materials which will allow you to improve them (basic to common,
common to rare, etc). For staves you need "raw maple". Look for downed trees and cut them (in the woods, on the beach). You need 10 of them to refine into "sanded maple", which is used for the staves.

There is definitely no chance of quick leveling, infact, it's pretty much impossible when quest givers and enemies are invisible.

  14. Awesome @ Backlot, thanks! The guild quests sound like a good place to get started.

I've already cut a few trees and have some rough maple. Usually, if I'm in the game and it prompts me to do something (cutting maple fe) I just do it even if I don't know what it's used for, since I know I'll probably find out soon enough anyway.

Enchanting sounds fairly close to the way it was done in Skyrim, so that should be pretty easy to learn I'd guess.

  15. No prob...I felt a bit overwhelmed at first, but the tutorial helped. It's great that you can put things in your bank as well, and they'll come directly from there when you craft, even if they aren't in your adventuring inventory.
