2. Cool thanks bro! See that's okay then and justifies the sub a little more for me. I wish more games would refer to expansions rather than sequels though. Games would last much longer Elder Scrolls: Online :(

Whagi, they cost a bomb. I was looking last night :/ hope you enjoy it all the same.
Nah Cloud, the point of the Subs are to cover the cost of expansions, etc....
Tell that to World of Warcraft, which is a subscription MMO and charges for its expansion packs.

I would not be surprised to find that you must pay for expansions with Elder Scrolls online too.

^ That's why I asked bud. I know some MMO games require you pay for expansions too so I was generally curious. With ESO being console as well as PC, I wondered if the same applied.

Picked up the awesome Imperial Edition today for only £39! ....stunning model and book. Installing on my MAC as I speak. Will pick the Xbox One version up later and continue my character on that. Elder Scrolls: Online :)

Just read that the Xbox One version will only cost me £12.99 as a digital download, because I bought the PC/MAC version, and I will be able to transfer all my characters over too. Awesome!

    @ Whagi,

That's why I decided to take the plunge and buy it PC, knowing my character can switch back.

To be honest though I haven't played it in a few days, deciding whether to leave it and just wait for the XB1 version and play with people I know as I'm not sure I'd want to play the same missions all over again when it arrives on consoles.

    That's very naiive.

The point of the subs are to cash in on the license to print money that is "World of Warcraft".

Not really doing themselves any favours by letting "Destiny" release without a subs fee before this sees a console release.

^ Depends if Destiny will get the same level of support/expansions over time? I can't see it being on the scale of World of Warcraft though, we shall see.

I really don't see what the fuss is about? If you like the look of it, get enjoyment from it week/month in/week/month out then pay the sub. if you end up thinking it's not worth it, then back out.

Personally from what I've played of Elder Scrolls Online so far, if for the monthly sub they continue to expand the world, add new missions etc, then it will be more than worth it, considering we can pay £50 for games that are over in less than 10 hours.

  11. Indeed... Destiny isn't an MMO...

I don't get how TESO is "cashing in" on WoW either... it's just another MMO, there's loads of them.

I'm guessing Az has limited experience with these types of game or doesn't grasp what they are or how they work.

    Oh nooooz!

Looks like some scamp has hacked Wikipedia:

"Destiny is an upcoming massively multiplayer online action role-playing first-person shooter video game in a "mythic science fiction" open world setting".

Sounds like you might want to read up on "Desitny".

You might want to do a bit of research on "TESO" as well before you go and throw heaps and heaps of money at Bethesda.

The devs have said many times Destiny isn't an MMO... it's a "shared world experience".

    .

Don't trust everything you read on Wikipedia.

Throw heaps of money at Bethesda?

I've personally thrown very little money at it so far. You can find some amazingly good PC deals if you shop about.

And my research will be done as I play it. Right now despite a few bugs here and there it's a great game in my opinion, the ideal game just to get lost in for hours on end. I will happily continue after the first month to pay the monthly sub if it continues
of offer the amount of enjoyment I'm having now. In fact it's a lot less money than buying one game for £40-50 only for it to be over within a short time.

If I get to the point where I feel the monthly sub isn't worth it to me no more then I will walk away still knowing I've got some great value for my money already.
