I am thinking of buying Elder scrolls online on Xbox one I am wondering if many people still play it and if it is populated enough?

There are tons of people there.

New ones as well as people who've been there for ages.

You'll see when you play. It's a shared world.

 

There are always people online. It's a pretty huge game that definitely has populated servers. If I was you I would go ahead and give it a shot!

 

Game received a firestorm of criticism at launch because of evil marketing techniques that I will not go into here, so it is near impossible to find a good review. That said, if you like the series of games they previously put out, you will still enjoy
the 1st part of the game.

 

What series of games are they? Bethesda didn't make this and they're the only people who have previously released TES games. I would also argue that it doesn't really resemble other TES games either. Carries the the name, the named locations and races,
but it doesn't actually feel like a TES game. Don't take that as me rubbishing the game, i liked it, but Skyrim, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion it certainly isn't.
