elder scrolls online new trailer!

Ok so i just watched the new trailer for elder scrolls online!

WOW it looks stunning! If you havent seen it go watch

I found it in the games section of the xb1 store

Its about 10 mins long and epic!

I was one of the people that was put off by the pay monthly thing but after watching that trailer im seriously rethinking!

As I said in the other thread on this topic. If that was the gameplay I'd probably be falling over myself to pay the monthly sub.



But it's not. It's just a Computer Generated trailer.



To add insult to injury, besides slapping you with the responsibility to pay for the game 3 times over in the course of a year... "TESO" will also feature a ONLINE SHOP for Micro-transactions.



Also they just released news of "The Imperial Edition" which if I'm reading the feedback on Bethesda's Official Forums correctly... means that for an extra £20.00 you can play as a race that's not available to others?!?!?!



I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan but the way Bethesda is handling this gamers will be lucky to still be wearing their socks once this game is done fleecing them.

That's just a CGI trailer though... epic as it may be it's not indicative of the actual game.

EDIT: Unless this is some new gameplay trailer that has popped up since last night. (in which case I apologise)

I recommend doing a Youtube search for TESO Gameplay Footage and then you'll see what the game is like.



I think this could have been a great game however TESO on console is a Social Experiment to see how much money Bethesda can get you to pay.



Shame they have to do it with such a popular franchise.

 

Cgi or not it still looks good ok theres no game play

But it still looks good and sorry but how can a trailer for a game not be indicative of the game its advertising?

Shows the type of art the game will be using the look of the players.

Gives you a feel for the story

And yes i have watched game play footage on youtube

and i wouldnt have even botherd before i watched said trailer

Anyway its still a good trailr in my opinion

and im now think i mite give the free month ago!

 

As I have said before even if you junk the disc after a good solid month of gameplay its still not a bad deal. Thats what I shall probably end up doing.

 

We can only hope they offer some decent discounts if you buy multiple months.



It's sickening to think of all the wasted potential.

 

So am I right in thinking you buy the game for 50 and then have to pay a monthly fee?

 

^^^ Yes.... first 30 days is free as far as I'm aware.

 

Hmm not sure I really want a skyrim/fallout game but not happy paying 50 and then a monthly sub

And then pay for it all over again every 5.5 months.



Slightly better deal than the US who have to pay for it all over again 3 times a year.

 

If you don't like the sub model they're using don't buy the game.

No point moaning about it every chance you get... or it least pace the moaning, there's plenty of time til June!

If this was a game I didn't care about I simply would not post.



As someone who's found some of their best ever gaming moments in previous Elder Scrolls titles then it really annoys me to see the Publisher taking one of my favourite franchises and turning it into a social experiment to see just how much money they are
able to get people to pay.



They have hinted at a better sub model so we'll see what they eventually come out with but the current pricing simply won't do.



I love the series and would love to be a part of this game but as I mentioned above it would be a shame if a greedy pricing model sinks this game on console.
