Elder Scrolls Online ditches subscription fee!

Played it for two months on the PC, that was enough for me. OK game!

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Headed To Xbox One

Looks as if the Xbox One will be getting Elder Scrolls Online, and it won't even have a subscription fee! With the game being free to play there will be the opportunity to pay a subscription fee for access to all DLC and get some in game currency as well. Will you be trying this out when it releases?

I think he was asking if he can pay the Elder Scrolls Online subscription fee with Xbox Account credit. I think you actually need and ESO account with a seperate payment method

 

I have 4 free to play games on the Ps4 that I never play , you are onto nothing unless you pay to win .

I'm not inclined to give much weight to internet chatter when it comes to the quality of a game. All I know is this is an ES game and I can play with friends. With no sub, this becomes a day-1 game so I can at least form my own opinion. With no subs,
it's easy to trade or sell the copy if I don't like it (which is why I won't get the digital copy).

 

I might give this a try as i love the Elder Scrolls world but honestly just give me Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 4

 

I have a veteran level character on PC and actually enjoyed the levelling/story and crafting. The end game was what turned me off though. Looking forward to transferring my character over to X1 for the achievements.

 

I figured it wouldn't do well. I doubt I'll even bother with it whenever I get an Xbox One. I'm more ready for a new Elder Scrolls.

 

I think I'll wait a few weeks after launch before I even think about purchasing it.

 

I've never seen the point of an Elder Scrolls MMO to be honest.

Half the fun of the series comes from being able to do what you want, when you want, where you want, and to whom you want.

Take that away by adding more people and you have just another fantasy MMO.

 

Actually, the subscription fee is what turned me off FF14 after 1 month. So many games out now, this has been so delayed, Maybe I've lost interest.

 

Yeah RedEye but the Sub fee for FFXIV is worth it. I feel like I get a return on my sub fee in that game. Never felt like that with ESO. ESO was just bad from the start and really has not gotten that much better. If it had then it would not be F2P now.

 

Well Zenimax made ESO so its not really the same developer and there was a demand for a Elder Scrolls mmo apparently. Not a great demand but enough for someone to make a profit from.

Bethesda are working on something else apparently. Haven't heard much from them lately but maybe another Fallout is on the cards.

 

Fullhornet, FF14 was not worth it unless you lived in Japan or the U.S. There's an Australian server now but i'm over it by a year, regardless of the endless emails I get from Squeenix.

 

If I'm understanding this right you still have to buy a copy of the game, who ever keeps saying its free to play is wrong am I right?
