    Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Xbox GOTY disk not detected on Xbox One, any advice?


    I tried Xbox disk version Elder Scolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition (not Platnum Hits) with my Xbox One but it won't detect the disk. I can hear the Xbox One struggles to read it rhythmically for a minute
    then it gives up. The disk icon does not appear on the homescreen, it acts as if it is empty. I also went to xbox store, with disk inside, to see if it would allow free download but it was requesting payment. Any help would be great! Disk looks great. It's
    connected to the internet. I have tried a hard reset several times. I will try my disk on a second xbox one and report back if I have success. If anyone has any advice please help as I am very much looking forward to my first playthrough. Thank you.

    I also forgot to add that it could be that its a problem with the actual disk drive as I have had many issues loading xbox one and blu ray disks so could be a factory error.

    Thats odd as I tried using the disk thinking it was backwards compatible and it came up with message saying that it is not compatible with this device.

    Hi there this is because the disc is not compatible with xbox one. If u want it on xbox one either download it on the original console it was released on (I believe was xbox 360?) Or purchase the game digitally through backwards compatability. Hope this
