Ejecting disc turns off console

Hey there!

That's an odd issue! Do you won an Xbox One or an Xbox One S? Let's start by trying each of these steps:

1. Press and hold the power button until your Xbox One console fully powers down.
2. Remove power from the back of the console and let it sit for 3 minutes.
3. After the time has passed, plug everything back in and give it another shot!

It is safer and better for the disc to quit out of the game before removing the game. Either turn off your console and then eject the disc or return to the home screen, press the menu button and select quit before ejecting the disc.

As for the console please try turning it off and unplug it for 5 minutes. If that doesn't work you'll need to send it in for repairs http://devicesupport.microsoft.com/

Quick question: Does your disc tray eject when you press the eject button? Does it eject when the power is off and the console just doesn't turn on or does nothing work until after you've turned on the console? Does the button work after you've turned on the
console?

What you could do to try to ensure discs arent harmed When you eject them, you could try turning the machine off and pressing the eject button to turn the machine on and eject the disc. Surely it cannot spin if you don't give it chance to ?
