eject button

    So from the first day I bought my xbox it has been doing that annoying thing of ejecting the disc, turning on randomly etc...didn't use to bother me all that bad because I basically played games that didn't require a disc like minecraft. BUT now that I am
    into Destiny it will do it at the most awful times. Its been about a month now since I have had it and I have tried to disconnect the Kinect, power cycles etc. I have a service order to get it repaired but I REALLY don't wanna be without a console. Any other
    suggestions?

    Sticky disc drive

    When you say sticky, do you mean like, really sticky?
    If not, maybe the button to eject is not properly hitting the button inside to eject the disc.

    Sorry to hear it. This does sound like an issue that requires a repair though. What I can suggest is to cancel your current service request then contact phone support. They should be able to set up an advanced replacement for you. What they need is a
    credit card or bank account that has enough money to cover the cost of the extra console. They don't pull it out but put a hold on it until your old console is received by them.

    It sounds like you definitely need a repair. I would contact phone or chat support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) and explain your situation to them, and they may be able to help you out.

    Ok I got it to manually eject but now it won't take it back in. As if it has no power to pull the disc in.

    I remember about six months ago someone with the same problem they simply used a soft cloth to wipe over it and it was fixed you could try that.

    Ya I found that. But don't want to have to do that and have to explain how to do that to my girlfriend in case I'm not home. I had a feeling there would be a problem with this thing as soon as the warranty ran out. Just my luck.
