    Eject and Power button not working, some functions operate with controller


    My XBOX ONE will not turn on or off with the power button, and the eject button will not eject the disc. The controller will turn on the system, but the game wont play. Other functions, such as the apps, still work.

    1. Any Ideas whats going on or how to fix it?
    2. Is there any way to get the disc out using the controller or some other way?

    Hello

    try unplugging the power cord 5 minutes...

    Then press and hold the Bind (the button on the left of the console to link the controller) and the Eject button at the same time.

    While holding together the BIND and EJECT button, press the power button and keep holding the BIND and EJECT.

    Your xbox should turn on a special menu. If its working, try resetting while keeping your game on the HD, if its not working bad luck....

    Power and Eject Buttons Not Working

    Something about the touch sensor, maybe? In any case, I can't eject or turn off/on the console with those buttons. Can obviously turn the 'bone on with the controller, so it's mainly an issue for ejecting, though power cycling wouldn't be doable, either.

    Sorry you're having issues with your console. First, with the Xbox turned off, try wiping down the front of it with a towel to ensure there are no smudges or something else that could be impacting the touch. After that if it's still no working try
    unplugging the console for 5 minutes, plug it back in and test it. If you're still having issues then I would recommend submitting a repair here as your front panel may not be functioning correctly.

    I had previously unplugged it for about 10 seconds and that did not work. However, unplugging it for an extended period of time and plugging back in seems to have taken care of it. Thank you!!

    Great to hear! Those power supplies keep a lot of power stored, so unplugging for a while sometimes (like this) fixes it.

    Unplug it or hold the power button down for 10 sec. If that doesn't work hold down the controler sync button power and disc eject while off to reset
