Either W10 or the new Xbox One Preview Controller Update broke compatibility in PC games.

It appears this update has completely broken useability of the chatpad adapter in games. Will not let me use my KB when controller is plugged in now, and the chatpad adapter keyboard does not work AT ALL in those games. Keyboard input is ignored while in
game and an Xbox One controller is plugged in. I have to disconnect controller to be able to type in game.

When streaming your Xbox One to your W10 PC you can just connect your controller to your PC and play like this. W10 should have the controller drivers ready to go already, just connect your controller via a USB cable or via Bluetooth (Bluetooth is only available
if you have the new controller which comes with the Xbox One S)

I'm afraid I'm not a part of the preview program, the update was some standard update with just small fixes or so. My system version is still "old school" as in no W10 compatibility, no Cortana etc. Thanks for trying though.

 

I have the exact same problem, the xbox one controller totally disables keyboard input in games. Just yesterday I was able to play with the controller using the chatpad for keyboard shortcuts, today I come to find Windows 10 had an update and now I can't
use either the chatpad or the keyboard in the games with controller support.

 

Went ahead and uninstalled the last windows 10 update (KB3140743), that fixed this issue (for now).

 

Same issue persists with KB3140768.

Hiding the update still works, but how many security holes will be left open until Microsoft fixes this?

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the downgrade to work... (Glad I made a system recovery point first.) I read that people were able to get it to work with KB3140743 but were having difficulty getting it to play nice with KB3140768?

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
