**** punks talking **** and then report cause me to get banned when i responded. No **** proper sense to this. Just xbox ****. no recourse

Can't connect to live please help

didnt work. It updated correctly with no problems but still doesnt work at my house. i also got some information regarding my router and modem mixed up. Apparently my Dad left in an old modem and that was some of the info I gave you.

here is the correct info

Modem brand & model number: The modem is webstar by scientific atlanta DPC2100

Cannot sign in to Zune software.

The reason I don’t use the Xbox to play the video is because I have a dedicated media centre PC running Windows 7 Media Centre. The WMC box has a 2TB HDD containing all of my media (movies, home videos, photos, music) and also plays and records live TV.
It is effectively what the Xbox One should have been (at least in my eyes) as it truly is the one and only box you need under the TV. (Incidentally if the Xbox One had a built-in TV tuner and a big HDD to natively record live TV, I’d have been first in the
queue).

As it stands, Windows Media Center is one of the best products Microsoft have ever made, and I’m one of the hugely disappointed fans who are currently witnessing its demise as Microsoft slowly kill it off in Windows in favour of the new Xbox.

Anyway, the long and short of it is, I don’t want to have to use another device (i.e. the 360) just to play a small subset of my movie collection. That is why I have the WMC machine. Switching between the WMC box and the Xbox just to play a particular movie
definitely isn’t wife-friendly, let alone usable for my kids. They just want to go to “Movies” in WMC and have everything there, as they do now – not to have to switch devices because of DRM issues. One box to rule them all! I would rather have upgraded to
Windows 8 on the Media Center in order to access Xbox Video, but unfortunately again, Microsoft seem intent on making it as difficult as possible, with a lack of remote control support in the Metro frontend and the inability to boot straight to ehome, amongst
other bugbears.

As for your second post, thanks! That was the problem – Zune requiring an app password for those of us using dual factor authentication. I really should have thought of that! I can now sign in to Zune.

However, Zune refuses to play the file. It knows that I have purchase the film because it will stream it without an issue, but it will not play the file. I get:

“Can’t play, burn or sync this type of protected file. Error Code C00D11E7”

I do get the option to download it on the WMC box via Zune though. Therefore I assume that I can’t play Xbox Video files I copy across my home network even if the machines are all linked to my Microsoft account, but I can download them.

It’s downloading now. If I can play it in WMC, then fine, I’m happy (relatively). If it has to be played in Zune, then I’m giving up again! It’s a lot of pain just to play a video I bought, on two PCs I own!

No, once an account is banned, then it is banned. banned means banned. Sorry, but you shouldn't have broken the CoC/ToS.

The ban isn’t a message ban it’s an “account” ban, with no information to follow the ban. This is just the only cause that makes sense to me.
