  1. Eerste opstart one X. (First boot one X.)

    Hallo.

    Hello.
    I have a question,

I bought a one x today and now I have a problem with the first boot.
As recommended I made a back up of my profile and also put my games and apps on an external drive.
After I turned on the one X I was asked if I wanted to load my settings or I wanted to do it manually.

I chose the automatic option because of the backup that I had made earlier.
Immediately after that I got a screen with:

    ( "It's time for an update ")

The well-known green spinning circle comes on and I waited.... and waited and... waited.
I'm sitting there a thick hour and a half to watch Tye but nothing happens!
Is this normal? Because of the size can the update?

    Is he stuck?

Is there anyone who has had this too?
An answer, help or confirmation would be very fine
    B.v.d.

    Mario

    :)

Hey Mario thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!!

This sounds like the console got a bad update, but since the dashboard isn't accessible we suggest trying to access the troubleshooting screen by following these steps! Also quick question is there a stable Network Connection?

If you're unable to get to the dashboard at all to do the factory reset you need to access the Troubleshoot screen by using these steps :

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button on the console.
    5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
From there you can reset your console.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Sargeant Raven!

I would recommend to remove the external HDD before doing the factory reset. You should still be able to do it without having to remove it, but on my end I like being a bit precautious. Eerste opstart one X. (First boot one X.) :)

  7. Well

I did not unplug the HDD.

    Was not a problem.

I recheckt my wired connection and it was fine. Soooo.. i re-did everything and so far its happening again. If this takes more than 15 minutes, i wil reset again and try with a wireless connection.

And if it still does not work. I will try doing the setting by hand....

And if after that it stil won't work.... i wil contact u again.

Thnx a lot though, i appreciate the time!

    Grtz
