Editorial host?

    i started a party and it took a while and when the chat opened up it said i was an editorial host what is that?

    Wrong. Those links aren't "editorials". You can't even discern between a genuine article and an editorial.

    In no article I've ever read about Live's model have I seen a vendor volunteer to pay those bandwidth and infrastructure bills.

    Gold helps pay for that infrastructure.
    Most of the bandwidth cost is on the consumer, and content providers. P2P gaming, Netflix, Hulu, and the host of other free internet apps, plus surcharge fees to advertisers. Stat and matchmaking servers run at a loss, are most likely "written off the ledgers"
    as a tax liability. So, Microsoft is reimbursed for the losses incurred, at the end of the day.
