Discus and support Edit channel/station names? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Ok, I love using the kinect voice commands to change my tv channels.     Ok, I love using the kinect voice commands to change my tv channels. It seems to work the majority of the time. However, I have a few local sports channels I watch on a regular basis that have really silly names on the OneGuide. In order to watch FSN
    in Minnesota, I have to say 'Xbox watch Fox Sports North 24/7'. What the heck. I just want to say 'Xbox watch FSN.' Is there a way to edit these?!?

    Also, is there a feature request area? I'd like to be able to adjust the size of the snapped apps on the TV screen. Make them 50-50 or whatever. The tv is tiny in snap mode. I'd also love it if the update section was always there, not just when I have
    an available update. I'd like it to just be there and you can check for available updates. If you check and there are none, the. Just tell me I'm up to date. The auto updates make me always wonder if I got the most recent update and it's also more difficult
    due to being signed up for the early release updates.

    What Feature Would You Like To See?

    For TV voice commands, the ability to say the channel number instead of the station name, also the ability to say "Xbox previous channel"

    TXRhody,

    Even though I am using an OTA antenna with WMC, I selected a cable provider that had my local channels mapped to the correct station number. OneGuide has been working perfectly since. Here's what I've learned:

    1. The XB1/OneGuide really have no idea what is playing through the HDMI-in port. All the OneGuide does is send IR commands. I am not sure what commands are being sent when set to OTA, but it freaks out my HTPC for a few seconds. When set to cable, it just
    sends the channel numbers.

    2. In WMC, you need to edit the channels. For example if your local NBC is channel 9.1, you need to edit the channel so it's 9.0. You can actual remap the numbers to something entirely different, for example you might have a local channel on 59.1, but in
    the OneGuide it's listed as channel 39. No problem, simply edit the channel in WMC from 59.1 to 39.

    I wish we didn't have to find this workaround, but at least you can get up and running until this is fixed.

    Microsoft, please release an Atsc version of your OTA tuner.

    Xboxone only kinda works with Timewarner Motorola box dcx3510-M

    Right.. all tested on slow ir .

    results are :

    c0877 - works . needs better speech recognition. works about 80% of time

    c0869 - not valid

    c2187 - does not change channel and displays a different channel then the one called for

    c1376 - Does not input right number, drops first number most of the time.

    c1877 - drops first number of channel when switching and switch's to random channels

    c3916 - c0476 - c1254 - displays channel names but doesn't switch

    c0810 - drops 2nd and some times 1st number in station number when called for and displays names wrong, displays names in white no change of station

    c0276 - drops 2nd and some times 1st number in station number when called for

    over all c0877 is best so far but far from perfect. Speech recognition needs cleaned up so it can understand more I think. Some stations like A&E and TLC it gets confused on. Also Seems after 10 or so (i didn't really count but i can if need be) times of
    changing a stations the dang thing stops listing and i have to totally exit out of tv app and then go back in.. Eg load something else. Will try c0877 on fast and recommended and update!

    c0877 works well with ir set to fast. Still the speech has to be worked on for same sounding stations. Be nice if you can say "xbox watch channel 12" or something.. So much easier remembering numbers of a channel rather than the name. Some can be a real
    twist to say at times.

    I suppose you're responding to my suggestion above. All I can say is that is worked for me. I have two of every major network station that's available. They pull my local channels and the channels from New Orleans nearby. The New Orleans stations don't even
    come in (Homeworx says "invalid channel"). At first, every voice command tried taking me to the New Orleans version, which like you said is frustrating. So I tried favoriting all my local channels, and bam!, all the voice commands take me to the correct station
    now. It even tidied up one guide because when I bring it up, it defaults to show me just my favorited stations. Is it a perfect fix? No, but I bet you it's as close as it's ever gonna get. Don't hold your breath waiting for Microsoft to patch it or anything.

    To bad K-Rose was a lot better then the current country station. I just listen to the talk show channels now.
