Edge on Xbox series s won't update

No disrespect, but you may need glasses. Mans said nothing about pop ups. I’m here because I’m having the same issue. Maybe re read what he wrote before typing nonsense blaming him of clicking on websites telling him to update. What?! Bruh says “the update symbol in the top right corner of edge” and you got pop ups from that. Please if you’re going to comment then know what you’re talking about so the rest of us don’t have to take time to post these messages.

There is no update in settings now under about edge kinda but not what you think.

For one that's for insiders program sign-up not updates and you don't update xbox from their it's for all other platforms

You can't download.xbx runtimes from.a webpage

And to update you have to.goto setting from your Xbox not.from.the browser

or.from.the insiders.hub

Nor can you use edge to download anything period on console.

The only thing you ever ever receive an notification from. A console is from system update NOT a random website

No browser will ask you to update from a website

And relinking to ms edge from ms to allow them to install malware is dangerous

You should only accept updates from your SYSTEM like windows update

Please use common sense

NO legitimate website will ever tell you to update chrome or chromium

What they might ask you is to update your security certificates Which you shouldn't be doing banking or irs logins from a console anyways.that alone is dangerous because people would use your history

Though edge should be fine depending on how picky the website is

You do realize the bar is also notifications right ? Even from websites

Since when have you ever had to update a browser from a notification from.Any website or from within the browser except for ancient browsers like Netscape or IE You dont

As you been told you already have the latest update and it's always done via system update not some random notification.

Browsers don't tell you to update to view any websites not since ie

Keep in mind edge remembers the last page you visited just browse away like Google or Xbox.com

My guess the page you visited is blocking you

As far as I'm aware Edge on console is updated automatically when a new Xbox console System OS update is released. Usually every month for General Availability release

The version I'm using right now, on a Series X, Version 104.0.1293.44 (Official build) (64-bit) is the latest available to Alpha Skip Ahead Insider members.

I have never gotten any notification to update Edge on console.
