Edge not connecting just hangs

For the past couple of days I have been trying to use the Edge browser , it just sits there with the circle going around and around but never connects, no error codes. I have 3 Xb1's and tried it on all 3 and it is the same thing and even tried it under
my wife's XB live account and it still does not connect. The last time I used Edge and it worked was before the last update if that has anything to do with it?

no lag here, use there speed boost to you advantage and hang out near the edge, and laugh when they overshoot over the edge.

 

Skype just hangs

If you would like to delete and reinstall Skype then find the app on your Home page and highlight it. Then press the Menu button and select Uninstall. After that you can find it in the Apps menu again and then Install it.

However, try holding the power button on the console for 8 seconds until it shuts down first. That has the same effect as clearing the cache on the 360 and may solve your problem.

Sorry to hear about the Microsoft Edge loading issue. It's definitely a little odd that this occurs on three different consoles. Are each of those Xbox One consoles enrolled to the preview program by chance? Additionally, could you post back which region
you're physically located in? Here's a list of
officially supported Xbox Live regions.

Hello, Answers to your questions ,none of my Xbox's are enrolled in the preview program, the region I am located in is Taiwan. Last night I did check edge again and it still does not connect. On another topic there is one other issue that comes and goes
for the two years I have been using xbox one in Taiwan is the game achievements list/details does not connect or connects but does not list the details of the achievements I completed or need to complete for that game. It works sometimes for a couple of
weeks then it does not for weeks or months , A recent example is some time around end of March to beginning of April the Live server went down and after it came back up my achievements actually showed/worked for about 3 weeks, now its not working again Beside
the two issues Everything else is good.

 

Thanks for clarifying, could you post up the following information so we can narrow this down? This definitely sounds like a network issue.

Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• Does this issue occur on a wired connection to your modem via Ethernet?:

Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

• Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
  
• After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
  
• Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.

I turned the power off the router and back on and no difference

Also I use a win10 laptop, android tablet and a PS4 slim and have no issues with these, for the Xbox's everything else works except Edge (which stopped around the beginning of the month but worked for the 2 years previous) and the achievements details for
the game, also the achievement tracker that was added to the previous update does not turn on. I did update my Xbox's to the latest update last night and still have the same issues.

We definitely recommend ensuring that your Xbox Live account region matches the region you're physically located in. Since you mentioned you're physically located in Taiwan, be sure to use our Xbox
Live Account Migration Tool and let us know how it goes! Additionally, try bypassing the router by wiring directly to your modem to see if that helps.

 

Changing my location would be a problem since English is not a choice for region language with Taiwan as location, English can be set for the console but my achievements will probably be in Chinese and I can not read Chinese , this is why I had to post on
the US forum site because all Microsoft sites out here are only in Chinese which is kind of odd for being such a big company, even Costco has English option on their web site. I am aware that movies and tv services are geo blocked which is not a problem,
most of those apps are on the smart TV if I wanted to use them. Any way someone at work who also has a xbox one with Taiwan account I asked them to check to see if their Edge is working and he told me that it did not connect, sorry I forgot to ask him about
the achievements issue and will ask next time I see him. For the achievements details for any game I played I did find out that if I log onto xb live on my pc I can see the details , just not on the xbox and both are on the same router.
