Edge keeps crashing with new dashboard

OS Version 10.0.15063.2019

Edge keeps crashing since having the new(ish) dashboard installed. This afternoon i accepted the new update to the Xbox one and straight away edge crashed. Also some videos will not load/play on edge but the audio does. This was fine on the previous dashboard.

Lastly, you have ruined the home button, and the home page. Yes the menu pops up nice and quick but i don't want the menu, i want the home page, and i want what ever I'm using to stay running so i can go back to it.

New edge update

The new Microsoft edge in preview keeps crashing anytime there is a new tab or pop up I can't do anything without it freezing and crashing any fix?

Microsoft Edge crashing

Edge keeps crashing recently after only a few minutes of use. Any known fixes?

I'm sorry to see any issues with Edge, and the concerns about the new update! The new Guide Menu is designed so that multitasking runs smoother. If you keep items open while switching to other apps, you can go back to those and they will still be open; you
simply go through the Menu instead of the Home screen.

We have seen reports of Edge crashing, however not as quickly as you are experiencing. Most users have been complaining of it crashing after 10 minutes of watching videos. Because Edge isn't able to be uninstalled, and you're experiencing an immediate crash,
I would first suggest a hard power cycle by holding the power button for 8 seconds. This resolves most crashing issues. If that doesn't help, you will need to do a full factory reset (including games & apps) to have Edge fully reinstalled.

Let me know how that goes! We'll look at our next options if you're still running into the issue.

edge keeps crashing while using facebook. it especially crashes when i view videos if i don't press B before the video finishes the Edge app crashes me back to my homescreen

Thanks, guys!

I've tried streaming on Beam, Twitch, and Youtube. These were the only streaming sites that wouldn't give me an error when I tried to stream or went to the site. Netflix, HBO Go, and Hulu either gave an error or pushed towards the app.

Silver mentions that browsing the internet works just fine. Is this the same for everyone else? Can you guys let me know the names of the other browsing apps you are using, too? I want to dig into this as much as I can to help you out.
