Edge browser Speedtest.net slow on Xbox one

Getting slow speedtest.net speed I get 480 mbs 23 mbs from isp spectrum but when i do a speedtest on the edge browser i only get 260-23 which is oddly the same as my download speed on downloading apps and games I do not like being throttled please fix
this and don’t tell me this just happens because this is the only device that does it even my devices on Wi-Fi at full speed my xbox one x is wired with a cat seven cable os is 1.0.19041.4162

Latency Problem on Xbox One X

Latency tests depend on what server you're using for the ping test.

For example, your Xbox could be testing latency to an Xbox datacenter further away (more than twice as far away it seems) than the server your PC's Xbox app or the website you're using for a latency test uses.

There is no problem and this is normal behavior for latency tests.

I would suggest you go to
    Speedtest.net
on your Edge browser (if possible) on Xbox one and also on a browser on your PC and see if the same server shows the same ping.

    Xbox download speed is inaccurate

Is your Xbox console connected wireless or via Ethernet cable? Can you use an ethernet cable just for testing purposes?

How exactly do you measure the download speed? Do you use the Xbox internal Edge Browser to go to Speedtest.net (or similar speedtest site)?

Or are you using the network test in the network settings?

Be aware that the edge browser is much more limited than the desktop version of the browsers, and doesn't work well with downloading the test files to measure the speed. So while the network speed might be okay, the handling of the download file in the limited
edge browser might be the bottleneck.

Also if you use the network speed test, the console connects to a server in Seattle in the USA. So check on your PC on the speedtest.net website how your internet speed is, if you connect to a server close to the west coast of the USA (i.e. Seattle, Redmond
and the likes in the Washington state (not to be confused with Washington D.C.)).

Another post about Xbox One S internet speed

...I then get the same cable by removing it from MacBook and attaching it to Xbox. I then used the same same site via Xbox Edge browser and these are best results I can get:

    Download: 281 Mbps

    Upload: 41 Mbps
Be aware that the Xbox operating system is similar to that of a smartphone and primarily used for videogames. While the games have a bit more "access rights" to the hardware, each game and App are run in a sandboxed virtual environment. Basically, as if
you would use VMWare or Parallels on your Mac to run a Windows application on a virtual Windows PC on your Mac OS System.

Also, the Edge Browser doesn't get much cache space to download stuff. So it might be, that you get slow speedtest measurements because of the slow way how the sandboxed Edge app is permitted to access the hard drive to store the test download.

If you say you also get slow measurements when you do the built in network test, be aware that the Xbox always seems to test it's speed to the Xbox Live servers in Seattle/Redmond.

So you might want to try the following:

Use your Mac to go to
    https://speedtest.net
and instead of letting Speedtest choose the closest Speedtest server for you, manually select a server that is close to Seattle/Redmond.

Test the speed now, and you should notice that your Mac should now show similar down/upload speeds as your console's network test.

Are you having trouble viewing content in your browser on Xbox One? And are you comparing settings against the new Edge on a PC to Xbox One? I don't believe they have updated Xbox One's browser to the new Edge yet.

    latency raised for no reason

Similar thing happened to me a week ago, went from an average of 21ms to 156ms, no idea what the cause is. It affects both my Xbox One and an X, I am in the UK so I'm not sure if it's related. Multiplayer is now impossible for me
thanks to constant disconnects. I've used speedtest.net through the edge browser and got averages of 16ms. I currently have no idea how to fix this.
