Echoing no matter the accessories or the settings

I've been having a problem for some time now. I thought changing my headset would have been enough but nothing does.

For a while now I've have been changing my accessories for my Xbox One. I still have a year one controller with the original included headset and mic and now I have one of the newest controller, those with an incorporated auxiliary port, and a brand new
headset Steelseries Arctis 5. No matter which I use, I keep having feedback from my friends that I echoed them all. It seems like, somehow, my microphone keep hearing my headset audio output, even if the volume is really low and there is no speaker audio at
all. And if I throw all the sound, game and chat, on my headset, they only hear the chat echoing.

I, myself, can't tell this phenomenon. I can only observe it when I see the active speaker in the group chat and my own mic sending something at the same time.

Tried with and without the audio adapter on old and new controller, tried 3 different controllers, tried 3 different headsets… nothing does. In the Xbox setting, I threw the chat output on speaker, headset and both and weirdly enough, its worst when on speaker
output and the sound is all in my headset. The only time I can give my friends some peace is when I mute myself with the audio adapter.

There are some YouTube video on how to stop the echoing, but the problem never seems like mine, so the solution never worked.

Is there any one who had the same issue?

can not unmute my friend in party

hi. I muted one of my friends last night bc he fell asleep and due to the echoing. Now no matter what I do I cannot unmute him. I’ve tried everything.

 

Changing Region - Controllers and Headset

I don't think region matters with accessories like the headset and control pads. Your accessories should work no matter where you are.

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

 

It's difficult trying to troubleshoot when you can't hear the issue yourself.

I've recently had a similar issue with a headset problem that I couldn't hear but others could, has been over a year and still not found out the cause.

It sounds to me like it could be an issue with the cable if anything.

You could try sending a voice message, but instead of sending, play back the message to see if that picks up any abnormal issues.

With mine though it was a high pitched beeping, almost like a smoke detector with a dying battery.

Have you checked to see if you have a controller update?
