    Hey fellas

    Got some issues with the Xbox one here, i have a headset steel series 5 and getting some pretty nasty echo in party chat after some troubleshooting it was def my headset causing the issue even when on mute it would still happen.

    I use this headset on PC and also PS4 with zero issues, its limited to the Xbox one, i have also tried 3 different controllers all the same issues. Even tried them with batteries, charge pack, cabled all same issue.

    By echo i mean other peoples voices echo. One thing that came to me while typing this is to see if i can run it off USB if that even works and see if echo is there.

    - In party chat - get echo

    - In party chat on mute - get echo

    - In party chat - i leave party of 5 echo goes away

    Its not any of the Xbox settings as i have the follow set

    - Party chat output - headset only

    - Mic monitoring set to all the way to the left (off/low)

    Cant think of anything else i can try and can see lots of posts re this and no answers from what i can see echo on xbox one headset (steel series 5) :(

    That is odd. If you can hear the echo it may not be from you but from someone else who has their TV or sound system turned up. I would recommend turning on the option to see who's speaking in the party chat and watch the screen for whose name pops up when
    you hear the echo.

    Another thing you could try if you haven't yet is to head to the Sound Settings and make sure sound is coming through your headset only

    I have that issue too sometimes, but only with certain players. most of the time it is due to other players settings, having their sound on with their headset on so i hear echos delayed later.

    Headset is making a static noise, and can't get rid of it.

    Get an Astro headset :) Turtle Beach 5 years ago was the "standard" but in the last 5 years I've noticed the quality and products become outmatched by other companies. I hear great things about Steel Series as well!
