Echo of own voice in Party Chat

Problem: I hear my own voice as an echo when in party chat. Other members do not hear it, and say my sound quality is great.

I have had this problem using both Turtle Beach Elite 800X and LucidSound 50X. I was able to eliminate it eventually in Turtle Beach, but cannot remember how I did it. IIRC it was a random occurrence so I might be a problem on the other end with some ones
headset.

I've read all the "Headset Echo" reports, specifically, all the other party members hearing their voices echo when an individual with a defective headset joins. Is there a way to do a self test to validate my mike is transmitting okay while verifying I
don't have an echo?

I'm using headset only with atmos sound. There used to be a way to make adjustments in the party menu but seems things have changed there.

Try turning down your headset volume

This isnt your problem - its someone on your party who has either their monitoring too high, party mix wrong, or is using an inferior headset with a bad connection.

When it happens - get everyone to unplug their headset one by one - that will tell you who is causing it - and then get that person to turn their volume down.

You will find that some of thr microphones are very good at picking up frequencies from themselves....especially astros that have badly set up side gates.

Try unplugging your mic and plugging it back in, if that doesnt work try to lower your sound.

Your headset might be making your voice too loud.
