    I'm using a Sennheiser HD 4.50BTNC earphones and I'm using a NOVOX Microphone so that the built-in microphone from my headset is completely turned off.

    When i switched to Windows 11 (in beta) i started to experience problem with MS Games - Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon. As soon as the game launches i start to hear myself through the Headset Microphone and the sound is muffled a bit. In SoT it wasn't such a big deal as i found a quick fix - just disabling or enabling enhanced audio settings (just checking the box on or off and applying the settings was enough) but in new Forza Horizon 5 this doesn't work. Disabling or enabling the Enhanced Audio Settings and applying or confirming them changes nothing - sound is still different and i can hear myself through the headset despite it's microphone being turned off in Windows settings.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums! We are sorry to hear about your issue. Before we dive into the troubleshooting process can I ask if your NOVOX mic has a "mic monitoring" option that can be turned down or off? Also are you using your headphones wirelessly or through an aux cable?

    It doesn't as far as i know, checked in Windows settings but there are no "extra features" or any other settings.
    And yes I'm using my headphones wirelessly.

    Bought Echos of the Eye and decided to play it on my PC

    Went back to Xbox and got the prompt to "Start Expedition"

    WHAAAT?!

    Absolutely gutted here

    this is a mic issue not an xbox issue
    might be true. No echo on my PC when in a chat though. Fairly sure it's a settings issue. Nothing wrong with console or xbox live. Thanks for the response.
