    Mfg

[Mod translation-I have the problem that every time I connect a 7.1 headset to my Xbox, my friends echo with me. Initially I had the Turtle Beach Px24 which does not have 7.1, it is only connected directly to the controller because I never had any
problems. Then I bought a Logitech G635 and connected it to the Xbox via USB and to the controller via 3.5mm jack, all the setting options later, friends still had an echo with me. I then sent the headset back and now bought the Turtle Beach Elite Pro (also
like the G635 a 7.1 headset) and connected it again as it was in the instructions, set everything as it should and still echoed when I did connect the headset directly from the adapter to the controller without bridging (thus only stereo) the echo is gone.
Does anyone know a way to let the whole thing run over the adapter and thus output 7.1 without my friends having an echo?

    Kind regards]

    :)

Echo in Party mit 7.1 Headset

    Hi SD x ChRoMeZ x

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro looks like it connects with a 3.5mm audio connection. Are you talking about the audio adapter for the headset that is sold separately?

Do you hear an echo when you plug directly into the 3.5mm audio port?

Have you tried using another controller for testing?

    Let us know!

Echo of own voice in Party Chat

Your headset is probably picking up the party sound causing it to echo or there's a loose connection

    Ongoing Mic Echo

Hi KyunKitsune! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

If you can hear the echo of the party means that it's not originated by you, that would be someone else in the party that has the echo and it's the reason why you hear your self

If others can hear echo on their end but you can't, means you need to lower the headset volume and the Mic monitoring to reduce the echo

    Party/mic issues

As I understand you are experiencing echo issues with your party.

First, please make sure that you are using the boom mic with the headset. Using the internal mic can cause an echo issue at higher volumes with Xbox One.

If people in your party are complaining about hearing their voice echo back or strange squawk type noises, first try adjusting your "Headset Volume" in the Xbox Guide down one notch from maximum.

If you hear everyone else in your party echo when in party chat, it is likely due to the Xbox One being set to output party chat audio to both speakers and the headset at the same time.

    To change this setting:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select Display & sound.
    5. Select Volume.
    6. Select Party chat output
    7. Select Headset
You should no longer hear the echo.

    Xbox headset echo

Before you spend money on other headsets, have you reviewed the settings for your console audio output? My headset can sound like it has an echo, because I need the streaming card to pick up party sounds, but there is an option to turn that off.

In Settings > Display & Sound > Volume there is an option for "Party Chat Output" I have to set mine to Headset & Speakers, but if I just set it to Headset or just Speakers, then I don't have that echo at all. I would recommend checking that out, as it
might save you some money, but then again, your headset might just echo.
