Easy to stop online console Scalpers??

if a company sells something to the general public then that item has to be available to all equally, you cant do what your saying to do, here in the UK that kind of thing would get the company into a lot of trouble for discrimination. easy way would be 1 console per household, scalpers cant have hundreds of houses to deliver to.

While parts of your idea probably sound good, this would lock out any and all potential new customers, effectively telling them to bugger off.

People just need to learn a little patience. So far there's next to nothing "next gen" even available to play, so you're not missing out on much. I'm still on my One X, and looking at comparisons on YouTube there's virtually no difference other than higher frame rates (which most people don't care or even know about.)

I really wanted a Series X at launch. But at this point I'm perfectly happy to wait. Both new consoles seem to have quite a few bugs, as do new games. By the time I get one they'll hopefully be sorted out and the games will also start rolling in. If people buy from scalpers, they're idiots. Nothing MS or Sony can do will change that.

You can't force people to do online As ms learned painfully

and it doesn't really help as pandemic and the global chip shortage is affecting shipments

Just be patient and keep playing the order lottery people do get them I know cause I got mine preordered the 2nd day of preorders and Gor my console at launch

Nobody would be forced to sign up for anything, not sure why you think that, you would just be making it much easier for your existing costumers who do have gamepass to get a console and drastically thin out the high demand and bottlenecking you experiance online when trying to get thru checkout before the consoles magically disapear and this action would have a huge trickle down effect for everyone else who may not want gamepass making it a whole lot easier for them to make it thru walmart check out online with a console of their own...like i said this idea may be garbage but for gods sake it took me almost 6 months before i got lucky enough to finally get a X...and it looks to me like its about to get even harder in the coming months (maybe year) meanwhile the scalpers are sitting on tens of thousands of these things smiling at the news of the chip shortages coming our way

Who is forcing? people don't have to use a code and buy from microsoft online, just another option for people that can't find them at target , best buy or gamestop, either way the system that is going on now is pathetic at best and no relief in sight....and i don't need to do any lottery, i was able to get an X a few weeks ago, i just feel for the people that are still trying to get a console 6 months later
