I'm not going to argue with a stranger about their personal circumstances because they're exactly that and if they've changed, wonderful if some of those changes are for the better.

However that doesn't change the fact that this game unfortunately falls short of being a quality current gen offering.

Is it fun to play?

Apparently it's all the fun of Tiger's past... but stripped of the content that was par for the course last gen and the gen before.

Prince or Pauper anyone trying to tell people that paying more for less is a good thing... is being foolish.

We shouldn't be supporting this for that very reason.

So,just like Destiny then ?

At least E.A. were up front about the content in this game before it was released,unlike bungie/activision.

It seems some are bitter indeed but it's not something I'm going to lose sleep over ;-)

@ Badger,

It's like I mentioned earlier in the thread, it was there for everyone to read what content the game had to offer well before release. Now I totally appreciate some will not find it good value, can't justify the price then they have a really easy decision
to make, don't buy it, it's so simple.

It's like when Forza 5 was released, sure it had fewer tracks than a lot of other racers but I was lucky as a lot of the tracks were some of my favourite so for 'me' it was a case of quality over quantity.

PGA Tour Golf, again not the same amount of courses as previous games but I also mentioned before in this thread, I personally don't mind, it's got some great courses in there and I'd personally rather concentrate on fewer courses than trying to master loads.
Also whenever I've played with friends/family online we always seemed to stick to 3 or 4 of our favourite courses.

I hope whoever has or decides to pick this up enjoys it as much as I am. At the end of the day though all that matters is I like it and certainly don't have to justify it to anyone, well maybe the wife when she see's another game on my list lol

One thing worth noting ladies and gents!

( Unless it's in the options and we missed it but have looked everywhere )

Depending on your preference, use the sticks, 3 click system, pro etc, when playing online there doesn't seem to be an option to let people choose their method/preference. Set up a 3 click game and you all play 3 click. Even "Arcade" mode which says "Choose
what's best for you" makes you play using sticks, no 3 click option or options to let each player choose.

Weird thing is, I've never been able to play these games using the sticks, on this one I actually prefer it to the 3 click system but putting does take some getting use to! Saying that, I thought I was getting better and then my last round was on Wolf Creek,

Maybe the folks on TWITCH are playing Modded copies and that's why so many previous features have been stripped?

There's some pretend courses which I don't mind really since to be fair, you could slap "St Andrews" on any of the courses and unless there was a seaside view I'd be none the wiser that I was playing anywhere different.

However you're still advocating we praise and accept EA's offerring of less game for more money and that's stupid.

If they are planning on adding more courses for free then that's definately encouraging news.

Do we have any links backing this up with information on it?

Of course Lofty is going to be pleased with his decision to buy.

He doesn't buy his own games.

By his own admission on these very boards he's on disability benefits and receives money from the State.

As a gainfully employed tax paying British Citizen... I pay for his games.

Now benefits exist for a reason and while some people might think it's not fair if they were in a position to need benefits themselves they might very well change their tune.

I don't think any less of him for being on benefits.

But it does kind of put his perspective on games... into perspective.

As far as this game goes, from what I've seen on Twitch and from first hand despite the developers boasts... the game is very much like the previous Tiger Woods offerings...

But with far less features.

And really for this Generation of gaming... we expect more.

Fortunately even though you've got some people who will try to pass off what EA is doing as "acceptable" most paying customers see this title for what it is.

When I started this thread a while back I was hoping that we'd be getting a decent golf game for the ONE.

Instead we've got "EA Sports... Some of it's in the game".
