EA's "Rory MacIlroy's Complete Rip Off Golf"

Soooo, the thread title isn't fact, but rather speculation?

I think the last golf game I played was 3-4 years ago. It was awesome. I think the game came with a decent amount of courses, and then there were about 5 more you could purchase from the marketplace.

As for, will EA do this again? Probably. If I buy the game, I'll probably wait until it goes on sale anyway.

More than likely there will be DLC, as there is in most games nowadays, is it right? No probably not. Will I buy it? Probably yes because I enjoy their golf games, I see it the same as everything I do in life, if it's something I enjoy I'm willing to pay
money for it, ultimately the game usually comes with enough courses to enjoy as is, it's up to the paying punter to decide what they want, or as already mentioned wait for a sale/game of the year edition.

 

They always have. I purchased every golf game from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 04 until last year. It is safe to say they will have a few courses for sale. I don't like how Augusta (the Masters) is not in the game again, because their contract ran out.

My worry is the roster of Golfers that has yet to be released. I hope Tiger Woods is still in the game.

 

Why should a Goth care?

Because a Golf Game in EA access with no courses is still gonna cost you money you'd be hesitant to spend.

Eggnogga... is this a clickbait title? I'm hoping it will get people thinking before they grab what should be the first decent fuill sized golf game on the XBox ONE.

Doc says it's OK to add some new courses and charge for them... You know what? I don't think I'd object to that.

But the last EA Tiger Woods game made you pay extra for almost all of them.

So like Marknally says, it's up to the paying punter to decide if they want to pay.

But show me a paying punter who didn't feel ripped off by the last "Tiger Woods" game and I'll show you at worst a liar and at best someone just trying to disagree on the internet for the sake of arguing.

It would be nice to get a fun full game you can just enjoy.

Was the last Tiger game the one where you could either pay for the courses or unlock them through Mastery? If it was the latter I really thought that was an excellent way of doing it.

 

I'm really looking forward to this one, pity it has been delayed.

I always loved the EA Golf Titles, me and mates use to spend countless hours online playing these.

 

Pretty much what Goth said lol. No point in getting sport games anymore since they all end up in the vault months later and I don't mind waiting. I've never played a golf game, so it'd be nice to play one finally.

 

I really enjoy Powerstar Golf..... the first golf game I have ever played.... I'm looking forward to this one but will buy it until it is a DwG.... afterall.... it is golf.

I think the thread title is miss leading, as no one knows what will be included in the game. But I'm 100% sure that extra courses, equipment, players will be extra $$$..... Destiny got away with it...

 

So they've got a release date for this title now. 16th of July 2015.

But is it worth a pre-order?

Again I remind people that the last Tiger Woods golf game they released was "Most Courses Sold Seperately".

So what to do with this game?

EA are like a well loved distant Uncle who has an alcohol problem.

Everyone loves him and he's really fun to have around but every now and then he falls off the wagon, starts drinking again and before you know it....

Mr Az , I don't want to rain on your parade but , as pointed out earlier by iBakez , the courses on the last Tiger Woods game could be unlocked without using real currency , just took a little time and practice .

 

And just to add , if this does get a release next month , then I'm gonna be all over it , cos I'm mustard at the golf . ⛳️

 

As Goth said, it will be on EA access at some point. Fear mongering and playing the "what if" card is pointless. Playing PvZ you can buy in game credits OR play the game and level up slowly.... just like any game.... you know what they say about making
assumptions.....

 

So the game has released.

With 8 courses, 3 body types and 11 heads to choose from.

I hear the gameplay is allright... but considering how many previous incarnations of this game there are... that should go without saying.

Rember when it used to be "EA Sports... It's In The Game".
