I didn't receive a limbo code

Found this:

Apparently anyone who used their Xbox One during the console's launch weekend should now have a code for Limbo in their inbox, while the platformer's new Xbox One port will be made available to purchase for everyone else "soon".

"We're looking forward to launching Limbo on Xbox One," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "As a thank you to our earliest adopters, fans who played their Xbox One the first weekend of launch received early, free access to the game.

"Limbo will also be available for purchase via the Xbox Game Store soon."

Where's the love for early adoptors?

Why should we as early adopters expect anything seriously? I haven't had a day were I regret buying my Xbox One. I may buy one for my son early x-mas now ... maybe some of my best friends will finally make the jump.

 

Don, they backtracked due to public demand then they get slated for not sticking to the original plan.

MS will never please everyone.

I've had six great months with my console and kinect is just incredibly useful.

 

^^Well it's certainly a strange view point this whole compensation thing, people happily and freely handed over their cash at launch six months ago, but now after using their product for six months they want MS to compensate them because they had no patience
to wait for the inevitable price cuts that always come.

I have no sympathy for those stamping their feet demanding compensation, you got what you were freely throwing your cash about for, a overpriced launch console, enjoy it.

 

Microsoft has compensated me so much since November I honestly don't need anymore. But if they give me sometging Ill gladly take it.

But no I dont think anyone should be running around creating threads and getting in touch with MS to get something for free. You made a decisuon as a consumer to buy a product. You can't be too mad that MS shifted direction months later.

I 100% agree, whether people are happy with the console or not now, they freely handed over their cash but surely they knew price drops would come sooner or later? Me and the wife went on an early morning shopping trip today, chances are some of the items
we bought will next week be on offer, "Buy 1, get 1 free" do we run back to the store asking for a refund?

There's quite a few of you folks here that have said all along, the console was too expensive, you wanted to wait for Kinect to be made optional, so you waited and now no doubt a few of you in the coming months will pick up a standalone Xbox One but in the
future "when" the price drops again, how many of you will be asking for compensation?

Like Omega Man I can't say I have sympathy, sure it's not nice when we buy something and are disappointed by it, consoles, games etc, end of the day though these sort of things are not a necessity for every day life, again we all handed our money over freely
enough. Want to complain about something, when we went shopping this morning I filled our car up completely with fuel, I remember when I had my very first car, a Mini, put £4 in it and drive for a week, not no more lol

 

Its the time frame that has got people upset, were not talking years here were talking a few months later it was discounted. I can see why it riles some people, if you bought a new car for 20k and next week you saw the price had dropped to 15k how many people
can honestly say they wouldnt be bothered??

You can buy a car for 20k now, drive it out of the dealers and as soon as you do it's already lost 1000s in value lol

I can understand people not being happy, everyone wants something for as cheap as possible but I just can't understand why some are surprised about it, whether the price drop comes 1 day or 1 year after release.

Sure it come quicker than I expected with the XB1, having said that maybe not too surprised considering how many at launch complained it was too high.

At the end of the day though and I don't mean it to sound harsh or I'm being off with people, people knew the price, what was included and it was their choice to part with their cash.

 

I agree in part but the question is would those people have parted with their money knowing 6 months later kinect would no longer be an integral part of the system and the price was being discounted??

A lot of people never expected a kinectless XO to arrive. When i posted that that was what i was waiting for I was told by several people it was not going to happen as kinect was integral to the system. How many people bought an XO around launch knowing
they would never use kinect but thought that there was never going to be another option?

I dont blame people for complaining, MS are the ones who failed to market their all in one entertainment centre (which is now going to focus on games) correctly.

I was lucky, i predicted the kinectless version and decided to wait. If i had bought at release i would now feel like i mis-informed by MS and would not be happy.

For me yes I would have parted with my money. The main reason it had the games I wanted on launch that I couldn't play nowhere else and up to yet I've thoroughly enjoyed my time on it.

Even if I was buying next month, knowing what I know now I would still buy Kinect, I still think it needs a AAA "Kinect Only" title but it's been out 6 months, early days yet and I'm hopeful we might see a few games to use it well in the future. For me though
Xbox One just wouldn't feel the same without Kinect, it just makes it so much easier to use with the voice commands etc, I know not an essential thing for a lot of people but as I said, it feels apart of the whole package for me now and it wouldn't feel the
same without it.

 

@Lofty and thats why yopu feel the way you feel about compensation. You are happy with kinect and have been since launch. Alot of people werent happy but had to buy a kinect if they wanted an XO and wre told this would always be the case. Hence why people
are up in arms now. I just think if Sony had told me i had to have a camera as an integral part of the system then 6 months down the line they change their mind i would not be happy.

Saying that if i was forced to buy a camera to own a console i likely wouldnt buy it.

 

Would make me chuckle if everyone got compensated with a copy of Kinect Sports Rivals

 

They should do Kinectless bundles with that title!

You had the choice just like everyone else, some chose to buy it regardless, like you other's waited it out but it was everyone's own choice.
