EA Server problem

Hello,

I joined XBox Live for my boys and we are having an issue connecting to the EA Servers...is this a common problem, are the servers down, what can I do? it at has a message of connecting to EA Servers for the past 5 hrs?

Refund on digital/virtual content?

Sounds to me more of an EA problem than MS. EA and their forever-shitty servers. Good luck!

 

your current profile states silver, also which games or games are giving you the connection issue, or is it all the EA games

 

he is trying to play nfl madden 15 and nba 2k, I was on live chat with someone for 2-3 hrs and still couldn't figure it out.

 

If you're trying to connect to the servers to play online multiplayer, that is the problem. You need to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold in order to play online multiplayer games. I'm not sure if those games have a single player option or not, as I don't play
them.

Your account is showing as silver, here, which means you can find friends, send messages and probably other things as well. Not sure of everything you can do with a silver account, mine has always been gold, but I do know you can't play online games with
others. You need a Gold account in order to do that.

 

Thanks, I did join xbox live gold. I do not know the exact issue, when we log in under my game tag it's fine, when we log in with my sons game tag we have connection issues. I guess my question would be, why if I am a parent and have my kid under my account
why can't he play online with friends?

 

E.A. used to have a age restriction higher than X Box Live. Don't know if that's still the case, but you might want to contact E.A..

xbox one or 360? on 360 he would have to have gold, on XB1, since you have gold, make sure its your primary xbox and then he can play online as well. if its his primary and he doesn't have gold, he won't be able to play under his account

 

we have xbox 360, I did purchase the xbox live gold and my sons gametag is listed under my account with permission to play online with friends. So I do not understand why this isn't working correctly. I wish they had in home customer service???

 

Here is a link to someone with a similar problem with E.A. games. This might be why they can't play. It would seem E.A. has their own age restrictions that override Live s policy.
