EA Games should make a Bruce Lee game

It's difficult to be excited about DAI after DA2. I think Bruce Lee deserves respect, speaking of which, I can't recall seeing his statue in Sleeping Dogs?

 

I can't even fathom how much ignorance it takes to judge a future title based on a past one. But here, let me break it down for you since this common knowledge is apparently difficult to grasp. EA acquired Bioware and the first thing they did was force them
to pump out a game in less than 18 months. That game being Dragon Age 2`.

It sucked. So here comes EA saying "What the heck guys? Before we acquired you, every single game you made won Game of the Year awards! What happened? So Bioware responded with "You rushed us. You didn't give us anywhere near enough time to make a quality
game"

So then EA "Oh, my bad. Go ahead and take more than 3 years to work on the next Dragon Age game" The problem with Dragon Age 2 is the world was so small they had to recycle the same areas dozens of times over. That's it. The gameplay was solid. After watching
an Inquisition trailer for 5 seconds, you will discover there is now a massive open world complete with cities, towns, wilderness, deserts, and mountains.

Bang. Right there. The issue from DA2 solved and dealt with. So next time you want to act like you know something about a title, at least pretend like you know something about that title. Not judge the future based on the past

Inquisition high praise from trailers and we all know how easily they can be manipulated.

Gameplay was solid IN DAII? The combat system was the same as in Origins other than needing to hammer a button at launch on the consoles. Inventory was neutered. Equipping squad with armour was removed. I could go on but I'll stop there.

The recycled areas in DAII were the least of its issues. But hey at least the combat had great new animations and effects, that's a positive.

No it isn't bang and fixed. Mass Effect 3 also got extra time and even putting the ending fuss aside there was a multitude of issues. So the time isn't a guarantee for Inquisition either.

I actually hope that you are right but Bioware don't get the benefit of the doubt any longer.

In short. How can you say that a game is GOTY worthy when all you've seen of it are trailers. Which we all know can be used to only show the positives.

 

There have been MUCH MUCH MUCH more than trailers out for Dragon Age Inq. Last week many game journalist/ reviewers got to play the first 6 hours or so of the game. Many of them posted videos about it on youtube. You can check Angry Joe's preview of the
game on his channel. Kevin VanOrd of Gamespot(a very good critic of games) posted on Twitter yesterday that it has taken him 85 hours to finish the game.

My point is, there are tons of video's and gameplay around to justify saying that this game will be GOTY.

 

I was about to say 'they are hardly going to let game journalists play a bad section' but then I remembered that the opening of Mass Effect 3 was in the demo.

So in short you have a very good point Wyld. Thanks for arguing your point clearly instead of just ranting.

 

Whoa, what happened to Bruce Lee? I think playing as his torso would be pretty cool!

What if there was like a Bruce lee skin for dragon age, I would totally go around as him!

 

@swordstyle - Get upset if you like but not all of us enjoyed dragon age, this is another dragon age game we're talking about here. I remember myself 18 moths ago talking about the new consoles and the recycled titles people will get with no eastern game
support. Then again, I also remember mentioning battletoads, guess whats coming to the XB1? You need to accept that other people may not like the same thing, I am an RPG fan but I want a challenge, I want an in depth non movie scripted meaningful game. Something
that doesn't need to be fantastic but has heart, not another consumer title that rides off nothing but the title.

I can't say for sure that Dragon Age will be Game of the Year huh? How did that work out again?

 

In a year filled with terribly *** games... I prefer fc4, those awards guys also gave nintendo a bunch, so why don't you go play that?

 

lol Why would I do that? I'm still working on the Game of the Year. You know, the one you people tried to tell me I couldn't know for sure would win that award?

 

I have a feeling Zelda Wii U will be the GotY for 2015

^^ True, I will play both so we'll see. The Witcher 3 will definitely be for an older crowd, but Zelda games just have their own awesome feel. They should both be in the running.
