EA Desktop on PC

Discus and support EA Desktop on PC in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I'm having a problem using the EA Desktop app on PC. I've reached out to EA directly, but haven't received a response.     EA Desktop on PC


    I'm having a problem using the EA Desktop app on PC. I've reached out to EA directly, but haven't received a response. The app had been working fine until today, when I had to do a system restore following an error with a chipset install I had performed. Following the system restore, I was unable to open the EA Desktop app or install EA Play games from the Xbox App. I had thought to uninstall and reinstall the app, but the app didn't appear in my control panel. I redownloaded the EA Desktop installer from EA's site directly and tried to repair the program but I continually received the error message 'install encountered an error.' I attempted then to fully delete all of the files relating to the app from the computer, including registry keys, and was able to get a little further into the repair but I ended up getting the same error message (for some reason my computer thinks the app is still installed. Maybe there's a registry key I couldn't find?).

    I've officially run out of ideas for how to fix the problem. I'd take any suggestions. Right now I'm running the latest version of Windows 11. Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for the reply. So, I've been unable to link the account on EA's end but my Xbox app is still showing that the two accounts are linked even after logging out and restarting. When I click to 'manage' the account through the Xbox app, it simply opens a browser to EA's homepage. Is there a way for me to unlink the accounts on Microsoft's side?

    Hello Jason, click on the link below and log in with your account that you use to play, in this Abr "Privacy" go down the page and go to "Apps and Services", there you will have access to the accounts that are linked to your Microsoft account, you can edit and remove.

    Hey Jason, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    Cool! So, this is just a glitch with the licenses. Happens, happened to me already to.

    You will reach out to EA, ask them just to unlink your EA account from your Xbox account.

    1 - Access the website https://help.ea.com/br/

    2 - Enter your email and password in the "LOGIN' field at the top right of the page.

    3 - Click on "HELP WITH A GAME";

    4 - Choose the game and find at the end of the page the option "CONTACT" or something similar;

    5 - Click on the NEW CASE button, select the platform and click on next,

    6 - Fill in the fields and click on next,

    7 - Choose the “LIVE CHAT” option, click on the “CHAT” option.

    Also you will uninstall the EA desktop app on your PC.

    When they unlink the accounts,log out from your Xbox app, restart your PC, log back in, try to download an EA game again, it will ask you to download the EA desktop app once again, download it, it will also ask you to link your EA account, link it, and it should work from there. :)
