EA Account is Deleted - I Cant play any EA Games

Yelp! I found out today that EA can’t fix their own errors even when they admit to defeat of this situation.

The bottom line (for anyone linking accounts using Xbox) is that you only control your original account ID and email address if/when it is deleted, not the current or transition of time reference you think is current. Always use an email which will never get deleted by an ISP.

I now have discovered I cannot create a new Xbox account either. You can only hold 1 Xbox account for that entity. If you try to hold 2, they are linked to the original reference. Xbox holds the reference information to affiliate the Xbox LINK of validity and game save data to EA or affiliate or any link you decide to create fr4om your Xbox (I would advise strongly to resist this temptation till those like EA are actually making these LINKs undoable by their technical team). Linking makes a permanent ghost bridge of your settings and you are the only party who can unlink the data bridge. If you forget or lose something, that makes the mess I have gotten as a result of really bad digital account management processes. The same does not apply to phone apps and services with a similar level of quality like Adobe or Google.

My only option in playing any EA games in the future is to go to Sony PlayStation and run a completely separate account from their platform (not likely). I can also do this in Steam Server Accounts on Windows or a sentient platform like Zorin OS but I CANNOT do this directly with a standalone loaded game in Windows as my account in Microsoft identifies all things Microsoft.

This Xbox issue is purely a mistake both by Microsoft and some very ridiculous behaviour by EA and its methodology of deleting my account without any form of communication to say the account was pending being deleted. But the history still remains today. Nobody can create a bridging account to move or purge a link that is broken on EA Origin (this article dated) 07/2022. Its still in Jurassic as a gamer on Xbox has no control of their EA account after it has been purged or deleted. But as this is important for readers to know, EA and Microsoft are at odds recognising the disposition created to multiplayer players when the account link is severed permanently. They just don’t know what to do, which begs asking if they really know what they are doing with the multiplayer interface in console management in every other way despite this one.

The vast divide between having access to a full game when there is restriction tells me to stop buying anything EA has endorsed altogether. It not that I cant play that content right now but I don’t think they know what they are creating for security of accounts or the management structure therein, I cant create a new account, transition or unfreeze it but its maker or the affiliate management systems via just 1 link have total control of their Multiplayer sharing servers. And I find the current state of account management appalling in context the delivery is broken but the attitude after finding such is shrugging shoulders and ignore the elephant in the room it is that both creators and major players have decided to walk away and ignore their mistake altogether. This may lead to litigation as I have read both Microsoft's Agreements and EA's alleged references. Neither party are clean on this issue.

It begs belief that in gaming we can be penalized severely for doing nothing and then find pure ignorance is the message which conveys that the creators don't really give a damn. I feel its time to create some accountability for due effect on penalties rendered by poor management and lack therein. I have even offered a fee payment to have my problem fixed but this has fallen upon deaf ears with no result.

The message here is that Microsoft doesn't care and EA is just too lazy to fix the gapping but existing mess other gamers will eventually fall upon in due course as the system is exactly the same as it ever was. EA Origin still has the same singular portal for Xbox linking users. It has no functional change on Xbox since 2014 except a flashy interface upgrade and the introduction of EA Play which is totally separate as EA Play is a portal for paid subscription. It does not provide the multiplayer access through this offering. The only multiplayer access is through EA Origin.

I think my future gaming wont be with Microsoft as it fails its duty of care and the customer agreement is shattered by fact the account I hold is not banned but it severs all multiplayer in any EA game I have previously purchased. Tis has recently impacted Codemasters games which I played before EA put those on its EA Origin portal.

Sony is one of several alternatives I could move to accommodate as a console to play online and that system is becoming less restrictive for multiplayer. This is not selling Sony but it tells me that the future may be better served using a service which handles things better and actually cares about its customer base. I kind of believe now having spent 2 days trying very hard to fix my link freeze, that on several occasions with EA and Microsoft, nobody in this circle of technical expertise recognises the result of what fails in their duty. It really transpires into reducing Xbox’s entertainment value and reliability long term regardless of the selling point or the outcome I have conveyed here.

There will be more situations like this and the discussion will grow about what gamers really get for the amount of money they put into this games industry which is acting a lot different to where it started.

thanks but EA has washed hands of it. They refuse to fix problem if they actually know how, I'm not sure they know what they are doing period as the phone conversations with their tech bring up nothing which is solid.

I will ignor EA exists for the timebeing. It doesnt want to help me so the same applies to my interest in serving its coifers. I wont need EA as there's enoght to keep me occupied and I realise despite this I no longer needv to upgrade to ultimate or join EA Play as these are now totally obsolete. I even go so far to say thanks EA for saving me a few hundred bucks a year you wont be getting from me period.

In my arguement to techies - it is the link which is the problem. I am not arguing about Microsoft or EA specifically, just the link as it serves a purpose but is archaeic in context in how we use devices for a link connection and multiplayer access to the EA servcer use. In its day it was a standalone system. Now it is less flexible but even EA disregards the relevance of me being cut off from all its content. EA cant find a way to connect a dead account but still retains a thread of relevance to allow it to bereinstated by myself only. Its strange they cannot completely delete the link to allow my account to create a new profile link. EA and myself have no capoacity to unlink a link or change deleted content because we cannot see it.

Its a complex problem I do not think can be resolved as I've had some programmers look at this and they think the account is corrupt in the ether of an address which has no inbox. That inbox cannot be redeemed or recreated as the address link is different from the one the account sees as the address link on the Xbox system. This is not part of Microsoift or Xbox either. The link is just an adress line of code which tells the EA Origin address is correct for that login used and then unlocks the link for further use either disconnectingvit or updating the account login details and a save feature to confirm the update to be acknowledge by a recipient email on that adreess change.

This thread is for Microsoft and EA engineers to see or read to understand that there are other things at play with their OS as the link is not their doing. It was mine as in anyone using EA Origin or the likes to link their Xbox to play multiplayer in another OS service to provides just the link data to pass a set of rules. I think there is no redemption for this account with EA. I can not see a way to fix this and this thread ius a reminder that coding created this but coding cant fix such either. If ther is a workaround its most likrely a hacking process to find a valid solutuion from a most informal approach.. EA still cant clarify why the account got deleted between 2021 and 22. There is no record as such. The service of EA Origin is not at fault. It is just a portal. The coding of why my account became deleted is questionable. The link address at EA got deleted but no one know why this occured. That relevance is not important but serves as a reminder user accounts can become frozen or restrict player access to content they have paid to access. This is the result of EA doing stuff to its accounts without really thinking about the consequences. Nobody can fix this problem now. Maybe an elite minded techie may find a solution in the future.

all account linking regardless of company is up to the company to sort, microsoft cannot sort any of it as it is not on their system and they cannot even see it, the same applies to sony account, ubisoft accounts, epic accounts, on epic once an account is linked you can never link that xbox account to another epic account.

when the account is linked it is your ea account on the ea servers that is linked, nothing on the microsoft side at all, you can revoke access to the ea account via microsoft so it cannot use any of your info but that does not unlink as this can only happen on ea servers.

if you move to sony you will have the exact same issue if this arises again as you cannot unlink an ea account outside of the ea servers only ea can unlink it.

microsoft nor sony nor any other platform can tell another what they can and cant do on their own servers, as ea closed your account for inactivity but as you say they did this when it was active it is down to EA to sort, you will have to sort this with EA.

I understand your frustration, but this is not an issue with the Microsoft account itself.

As you said, is an issue from EA side.
A completely different company, they have their own services and tools.

If you want you can share this feedback with Microsoft, also. If someone else replies to this thread, is going to say something similar, is an issue from EA.

If you think another console suites better for you, I respect that decision
