@water only problem I see is those Big AAA titles may take a while to end up in the vault,so you may wait a while. Depends on if its a must have. BF hardline ill be happy to wait a year and play it from the vault as im not planning on buying it at all.

EA access is the one to go for

 

Yea well the other 3 AAA titles would take up my time. Its like EA is saving me from getting burned..again...like I was with BF4.

 

Either way its a good move to offer an app like this regardless of the publisher.I hope more follow.

 

I saw a negative comment on an article somewhere, where the poster suggested that "whats next? Ubisoft does this? Capcom does this? it would cost more money and be confusing." My response was that if publishers did this on an a la carte basis that would
be AMAZING. I would easily pay $90 a year to have access to EA, Capcom, and Ubisoft library.

This was setup in such a way that its just win all day long.

 

If more come on board I would gladly change publisher from month to month to play older titles that I didn't buy at release. Say Activision, id gladly sign up for a month to play a few COD campaigns then next month pay another to play say Far Cry for Example
or Ubi with AC 3.

 

Water, I also have a sneaking suspicion that game will not stay in the vault for eternity. I think they will be switched on a regular basis. In the description, it calls it an "evolving collection".

 

I'm sure someone put a link in another thread which said EA would only add game's to the vault and not remove any.

 

The terms state the games can be removed or changed and that they can exclude titles, titanfall being the first example of exclusion.

"Vault Titles are subject to change and may be removed"

"Vault Titles contain functionality designed to disable access to those Vault Titles in the event that (i) your subscription is canceled or otherwise terminated or (ii) EA decides, in its sole discretion to remove certain Vault Titles as described above."

There was a ea rep that said they had no plan to remove games from the vault, but he didn't put his name to it.

 

For $30 a year, I was more than willing to give this a go for at least one year. It will definitely be interesting to see how this all evolves. Good times, for the time being.

 

@ Jambo...Of course they are not going to come out and say they will be removing games. They want to snag as many people as possible up front.

They are going to entice peeps as much as they can. The big test will be how "new" of games will be added in the future.

 

That's my biggest concern, if the games a more than a year old it's going to be a wasted effort especially when you consider used prices

Could be a great deal if your a few years late to next gen though.

 

@Jambo this service trumps used prices. What store can you pick up the four games being offered for $30 total?

 

I don't really see why they would remove game's from the vault, at the end of the day, the bigger the collection of game's available the more people will be interested.

It has a ton of advantage's that I'm struggling to see any negative to it. Aswell as being able to play game's that you haven't played before, there has been time's in the past when I have fancied playing game's that I'd sold or traded, this is where some
thing like this could come in very useful for Me. Then add all the discounts and early access to new titel's and this becomes great value IMO.
