EA Access purchase with MS currency

I just bought 40.00 in MS points to buy EA Access sub, and it's not possible to use points I guess. Why is this the case?

MS Currency can only be used to purchase games, DLC, videos, and music. Unfortunately EA Access is a subscription and as such MS Points / Currency cannot be used to purchase this.

EA access subscription

In order to qualify for the first purchase offer, your purchase has to be made using currency from your Microsoft account balance, so an EA Access subscription is not eligible for that offer. There are no offers to receive credits for purchasing EA Access.

 

Not sure but I had to use C/C as well to subscribe to EA Access

 

its because you are buying a service off someone else not ms all subscription services (netflixs,amazon,wwe network) require a cc so they can auto renew

 

Like a Gold subscription, because the subscription auto-renews you have to use a payment method that can be auto-billed for each period, ie a credit or debit card and not your MSA funds.

 

I'm glad ^ these guys knew what was up. As I was going to say it's probably because MS points don't exist anymore.
