EA access free month subscription did not stack up, but it cancelled the ongoing subscription

Hello,

I had an active subscription to EA access until September 2017. Earlier this month, I bought an EA game and I got a promo code for a free month of EA access.

When redeeming the code, the free month did not stack up to the previous subscription. Instead, the ongoing subscription (active until September 2017) was automatically cancelled - now I only have 1 month of EA access.

Is this normal? How would I go about getting the subscription which I paid for back?

I tried chatting with Xbox support but for some strange reason I cannot edit the "First name" and "Last name" fields in the form, and with those fields being blank I cannot submit any question. I don't know why those fields are empty, as I have a first name
and last name set into my account.

EA Access Question

Just got a message from Xbox with a code for a free month of EA Access for pre ordering battlefield 1. I currently have a year subscription, can you stack the free month with your current subscription like you can with Xbox live and psn?

I bought need for speed rivals

$30 a year for EA Access. Or you could have literally just paid 5 bucks for a month to play it then cancel the subscription.

 

The issue has been solved. What happened is this: when the free month code was redeemed, the latest subscription until September 2017 was automatically cancelled and refunded. So I'll have to buy the 12 month subscription again when the free month expires.
