EA Access 1-month subscription code damaged after soft scratching.

This is yet another attempt to resolve my issue after three unsuccessful chats with the MS Support Live Chat (two of them being extremely ridiculous).

I bought a 1TB Xbox One S FIFA 17 bundle. This came with a code card inside the box for EA Access 1-month subscription. The code card was in the form of a scratch card (the first one I have encountered with Xbox prepaid codes for games /
gold subscriptions / DLC so far, all of them had the code printed).

I scratched the above card softly and with a normal coin, just like any other non-Microsoft scratch card I have used until this day. However, in the process, the 25-digit code was damaged so easily. As a result of this, some of the characters have been gone,
thus making the code unreadable and unredeemable.

Firstly, I contacted the MS Support Live Chat. After I provided the spokesperson with a photo of my card (with the damaged code in the back), he was unable to resolve my issue (he said he couldn't guess the missing characters, but I didn't contact the Support
to help me guess some characters) and, instead, redirected me to EA Help Desk. From there, I was told that EA Access codes are Microsoft's responsibility.

The second time I contacted MS Support Live Chat, after I provided them with EA's answer, I was asked once more for a photo of my card, in order to help me guessing the missing characters! After the spokesperson couldn't guess them (as we are talking for
more than 1200 combinations, and that's just for one missing character in two different sequences), he told me to speak with EA (which is insane, since I already did that and mentioned it first thing in the chat). He then encouraged me to seek some sort of
replacement from the local retailer from whom I got the bundle console. I have done this even before the first chat and I was told that the packaging of the bundle was made by Microsoft (thus the code was inside the box) and they cannot do anything. Therefore,
I mentioned this to the spokesperson who gave me the same exact answer three times in a row!

To wrap up with my attempts to solve this with the MS Support Live Chat, I tried a few minutes ago to contact them for a third time. After I was greeted by a person, I stated my issue and began to elaborate, when the connection was "magically" disappeared
(even though my Internet was perfectly stable at that moment). Needless to say, my attempts to reconnect had zero impact.

In a new e-mail I have received from EA, I was told that all the codes and the process of redeeming them (billing etc.) are looked after by Microsoft who should be the one helping me.

In the light of all this I ask for a simple thing. I would like to have my code retrieved using some sort of verification like the barcode on the bottom right at the back of the code card or the serial number at the same position (and not getting help for
"guessing" the missing characters). In an alternative case, I would like to be given a new code as a replacement. Upon request from a spokesperson of the MS Support, I can provide the photo of my card, the proof of purchase of the bundle console, the e-mail
I received from EA, stating that Microsoft should replace my code, or any other evidence to support the validity of my claim.

12 months 30$ both require a card or paypal

the 3rd option is a ea access subscription code or there you can use money prepaid cards?

i'm not from usa,so gamestop.com isn't an option for me

Just got a message from Xbox with a code for a free month of EA Access for pre ordering battlefield 1. I currently have a year subscription, can you stack the free month with your current subscription like you can with Xbox live and psn?

Unfortunately support would have to be the ones you'd need to work with although it's not always possible for them to get the code for you. The only other things you could try is contacting the retailer you purchased it from to see if they will exchange
it.

I have already contacted my retailer. They said they cannot replace the code, since it was part of a bundle (which was put together by MS) and they cannot help me retrieve it, since it is nowhere in their database systems (they can only retrieve the cards
that are sold separately).

As for the other thing you say, I cannot believe that the company who handles all of these codes (MS) can't help me retrieve the code by using the barcode or the serial number, or provide me with a new one, especially when I have splashed 350 euros for a
console (plus around the same amount for the original XONE, plus all these games / DLCs) and this code costs roughly 5 euros.

And the fact that, according to some people on the internet, MS has replaced these sort of card codes in the past after contact with the Support and proof of purchase (in my case proof of purchase of the console) makes this ridiculous. I didn't ask for a
scratch card, all of my games / DLCs / gild live subscriptions prepaid codes have come in the form of printed codes in the back.

 

Hey, Deadsh0tGG! Sorry to see any issues with redeeming your card, but Smwutches is correct. Any physical damage done to the card will not be replaced by us, and we ask users to go to the retailer. If they are unable to replace the code, there is nothing
we will be able to do here on the forums.

While I understand the frustrations behind this, we are unable to assist further. You are more than welcome to reach out to our
phone support directly for your region to see if they are able to help you, instead of using chat, but it's likely they will give you the same answer. Again, my sincerest apologies to
