E68 while hard drive is installed

Discus and support E68 while hard drive is installed in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am using the 4gb Xbox 360 Slim, recently i have started to get the E68 error when my hard drive is installed to the system. is there a fix for this?...     I am using the 4gb Xbox 360 Slim, recently i have started to get the E68 error when my hard drive is installed to the system. is there a fix for this? i really dont want to loose my save games, as i have hundreds of hours of saves on there, and not all
    of them were able to be uploaded into the cloud storage.

    E68 error with old hard drive and now a new hard drive.

    I got a E68 error this week. Followed the instructions for this (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/errors/error-code-e68) , removed my old hard drive and the
    Xbox worked fine. Reinserted the old hard drive and once again I got an E68 error.

    The instructions above indicated I probably had a bad hard drive. I ordered a brand new hard drive today, when I installed it once again I got another E68 error. Is this likely a problem with the Xbox itself or is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

    Try removing your Hard Drive. If it boots up without it, then your drive is pretty much garbage. If your console still doesn't boot, then try your Hard Drive in another console.

    if the E68 error only shows when the hard drive is attached, I'm afraid the hard drive itself is causing the problem, which would also mean that all on the hard drive that can't be redownloaded is lost.

    The only thing you can try is see what happens when you attach the hard drive to another console, but there is a big change the results are the same.

    There are no tools or support steps to retrieve the items on the hard drive

    E68 is a hard drive error as you probably know.

    probably the only way to fix it is to get the correct hard drive for your machine.
