    Does anyone get this feeling?

I'm NZ, and so we don't really celebrate this E3 thingy that much. All I know is it's an American or UK event that happens. Microsoft is likely to reveal more about Xbox Scorpio at this event. Including hopefully

    - what kind of APU or CPU clock speed, it will have. Will it use AMD Ryzen tech? How fast will the clock speed be (1.75Ghz, 2.5Ghz, 3Ghz, 4Ghz?)

    - How much RAM will it have (8, 12, 16GB)? We already know it will have a bandwidth of 320GB/s.

    - How fat will it be? When Xbox 1 released, a lot of people were going on about it's size, it's a behemoth. I thought that way a little when it came out. It's a bit bulkier than my Xbox 360 Slim console. But after a few weeks, I accepted it's size. Hopefully
Scorpio won't look as big as custom desktop PC's and hopefully it will be roughly the same size as the original Xbox 1 console.

    - The price! Hopefully they'll keep it down to like US$749 max or AU/NZ$899/$949. The NZ$ = AU$0.97 and it's been like that for the past 2 years. So it would be silly to charge the NZ market too much since the AU and NZ$ are almost the same. Companies have
a bad habit of overcharging the NZ market especially when you do a currency conversion between NZ/AU and the prices they include in AU are GST inclusive and since NZ GST is only 15%.

I googled E3 2017 and it came up with June, that's too far away E3 2017 for more Xbox Scorpio info, is too far away!! :(

Yes I have a custom PC, but if it goes well, I can sell my PS4 Pro which I hardly use, to shave a few hundred dollars off Scorpio. I got PS4 Pro so I could play Final Fantasy XV with high visual fidelity. No it's not available on PC. And I wasn't going to
wait for Scorpio to come out as it took Square Enix 10 YEARS to make that game. If and when I get Scorpio, I can play Final Fantasy XV with high visual fidelity, and compact my entertainment hobbies into a more healthier manageable thingy. I don't want to
play XV on the current Xbox 1 as it looks yuck and blurry. And yes my generation does care about resolution and stuff. If and when I get Scorpio, I can get rid of my PS4 Pro and that will mean less clutter, in my bedroom. And I do not want to wait another
1-3 years for them to release a Slim version. So hopefully they get the design of the console right first time. I'd like it to be about the same size as the original Xbox 1. I know Corsair has recently released their first custom PC. Hopefully with Scorpio
you can stand it up vertically or lay it flat, just like with Xbox 1S, Xbox 360, and PS4. Xbox will remain my favourite console platform as it's online features are superior to PSN. PSN charges NZ$89.95 for 12 months PS+. Xbox only NZ$79.95. And those are
RRP prices set by Microsoft and Sony.

    :)

    E3 2017 Expectations and Scopio

What are your expectations for Xbox@E3 2017? What do you think Project Scorpio will be called? Personally, I am hoping for "Xbox Scorpio"

Future Xbox One games optimized for the Scorpio?

I think you might get an option to download a hi res version of the game via an update for the Scorpio.

I don't think you're going to see multiple versions of the same game.

I'm sure we'll get more details at E3 2017 or at a separate Microsoft event.

I'd also like to know if it will use an SSD or Hybrid (SSD/Flash for boot, and HDD for storage). Will it have swappable HDD's like what Xbox 360 and PS4 have. My Xbox 1 day 1 edition with Kinect takes 90 seconds to boot (500GB 5400rpm). My PS4 Pro 1TB 5400rpm
takes only 15 seconds to boot. So Microsoft need to really work on the booting times, since many people tend to not leave their console on 24/7/365! SSD's are more efficient in booting, saving, and loading; they are noticeably faster in those respects and
it's a fact. Even though they're more expensive than HDD's. They also take up less space. Microsoft doesn't have to use M.2 SSD thingy as that is far more expensive than SATA3 SSD's. One company in NZ sells Samsung EVO 850 1TB SSD for NZ$494. I'd be satisfied
enough if they put a 250GB SSD for the OS, booting; and 1TB HDD for the rest including games. Or to allow for swappable internal storage like what Xbox 360 and [the competition console] has. I could even sell my Day 1 Edition Xbox 1 console (but will keep
the Kinect) to further help reduce the amount to pay for Scorpio. On trade me, a popular NZ site, I see NZ'rs still selling Xbox 1 Day 1 edition consoles for NZ$300. PS4 Pro Sony has set a RRP in NZ of $649.

I've seen rumours that it will have 12GB of RAM.

I've also heard they are doing an event before E3.

I'm more curious to know what it's gonna be called after they drop the "Project Scorpio" codename! Xbox One Two? Xbox 4K? Forget tech specs, this is the burning question!

  7. It's certainly fun to speculate on what the specs will be, and many rumors are out. The latest I heard is that it's 16gb ram to help future proof it. I would love to believe that! The other rumor is that they will be having a reveal before the weekend. It
    would be nice if true

I think they did some major improvement on performance from december release, and some on latest as well.

Feels more instant response on home screen and navigating now.

But to put expensive SSD in Scorpio to gain some booting time, don't know if that really is best bang for buck in what price segment Scorpio will be.

Been looking at gaming PC's this weekend, and to get a real good one you are up for $2500 or so, and then a 500G SSD inside which does not make room for many games at all.

Not into gaming on PC, just doing more video work now and looking for possible upgrades. So Scorpio might be choice for gaming still - if to bother.

I get the feeling that most gamers looking for 4K stuff will be really disappointed.

PS4 Pro with 4.2 TFLOPS can handle some basic 4K, at 15 fps or so. X1 is about 1.3 TFLOPS as comparison, and standard PS4 1.8 TFLOPS.

That Scorpio with 6 TFLOPS would just easily run 4K native with 60 fps - I'm afraid there will be compromizes, more than most expect.

But sure 1080p with stunning visuals will be there - which will be good enough for me - if they target gamers, not mediacenter stuff so much, and really thought through BC for current X1 games without any need for further download.

So getting full fledged gaming at 1080p for below $800 or so would be swell. A lot of bang for buck compared to gaming PC.

    Since its APRIL...

    IT'S MICROSOFT'S BIRTHDAY.

Remember to message that to your friends, your friends friends, recent players, and to everyone who has posted on here this year.

People (maybe not the few people on here) always encounter this at this time of year. Chain letters etc. A former Xbox Forum Moderator did this to me too.

Hmm, "Xbox One Plus"! I like the sound of that one... "Pro", not so much. Can't see how MS would want to lump themselves in with the competition (bearing in mind a proportion of PlayStation fans initially rolled their eyes upon hearing of "Pro" themselves).
It might be too much to expect a confirmation (or denial) of the brand name come Thursday's speculated reveal, but E3 isn't too far away! Xbox One X-citement is building!!
