E3 2014!

Anyone downloaded the nordeslief or what ever it is called in Forza 5 and done any laps ?

 

On a fundamental level, they are (or rather, can be) the same thing. Cloud is (generally speaking, and ignoring developments in the field) a buzzword.

 

I know what the "cloud" is or isn't, but it was interesting how last year it was the cloud, the power of the cloud, the cloud, the cloud, cloud.....

This year they just stated "servers", I said long at the time when everyone was getting wet about the cloud that it meant nothing. I also stated technically all EA games have run in the "cloud" as they are run on servers based away from the user. An cloud
is not a "buzzword" cloud gaming started many many years ago with onlive.

 

I was pretty happy with last nights reveal. I agree on the Rise of the Tomb Raider. More tombs and puzzles is a must. The reboot was absolutely fantastic and although I didn't feel upset that there was lack of puzzles, I would of loved to of seen some.



This will be a day one for me. That, and the Halo Collection.

 

If I hear another presenter say super excited or awesome I may well kick my brand new tv to death so for safety reasons i'm never going to watch another presentation, ever.

 

Yeah, it's so fake. I think this year's E3 broke previous year's cringe levels. I loved the Witcher showing, most unpretentious dudes of the lot 'right, let's get on with'.

Probably the worst of all was the Halo showing, specifically the bit with the girl talking about Master Chief questioning his reasons for fighting and stuff. So *** cliched and cringey. Halo is so vanilla these days.

 

The Ubi one was the final straw for me. as soon as that woman spoke I had to turn off.

 

I never watched it but I see Ingoish mentioning a game like Limbo if that's the case I will be all over that I think Limbo is a quality game and have played through it on many occasions

 

Got to say, I loved the Sunset Overdrive trailer. So funny.

 

There's some good games coming but i have to agree,it was painful to watch sometimes.

Did like the Dead Island 2 trailer

 

loved every bit of it, gonna be an expensive second half to the year, to many games and not enough time or cash lol, after watching that I am getting my gaming mood back, I had lost the appeal to gaming a few months ago like everybody loses the feeling every
so often but spent a few laps on the new Nürburgring and loved it.

 

Where was the PGR5 and Micro machines reveals :-( Overall a good E3. Tempted by Sunset Overdrive. If I get Destiny I'm going to have to decide which version, how much will I loose out on if I go Xbox.

Ubisoft for me was the best presentation and games that I am looking forward too
