    i tried factory rest and keeping my games and apps and the offline system update the update keeps getting stuck 86 percent and 66 percent on applying update and i try resetting it and keeps sending me to the offline update and it starts at 72 and goes
    to 86 and gets stuck again

    Games on the Xbox do save to the cloud on your account, so doing a partial factory reset will remove most things, but your saves will safely be stored in the cloud.
