E200 Xbox update possibly corrupted, cannot get past green start up screen.

So a friend is stuck at a screen after the green Xbox loading screen. It gives the "Reset" and "Troubleshoot" options, with a "E200 xxxxxxxxxxx" error code at the bottom.

Now both of us ran through the options, and one we cannot do (the offline update) as neither of us have the hardware to do so. Then there is the factory reset option. Anyone do this? How does it work, and will he lose any game data or the like?

Any info is great, thanks in advance.

Xbox One System Update Won't Startup

Left new System Update running overnight and now console has no start screen just black.

Tried hard booting the console and get green xbox one start up screen but after 5 minutes screen goes black and cannot do anything. Can see network lights flashing away so hope an update is happening.

Can someone at MS Xbox help and let me know what should happen?

 

Problem with Preview Program

I was forced to update at 1am on October 27th and now I am going to a green screen then to a system error:

E200 000000EF 00000000

 

To solve this issue try to apply the offline update:

Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates

You just need a usb or a disc to do that.

I will not suggest the reset option unless you want to wipe out your hard disc. You will lose local game saves and you will have to download your games again
