    E200 On Exchanged Xbox Console


    I just got my Xbox One console returned to me about 2-3 weeks ago and am now getting an E200 error when starting up the console. It started freezing while using Hulu Plus and then showed the error when I turned the power off and left it unplugged for about
    30 seconds.

    The full error is: E200 00000074 00000000.

    My console was (at least orignially) a Day One Edition of the console and the warranty has now expired while the first(?) exchange was in transit back to me.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    E200 Error Help

    OK I've been searching for info on the E200 error codes but not much information can be found on E200 just info on pretty much every other error code for xbox one.

    Last night upon turning my xbox on I was presented with an issue of not being able to select menus or start games so I reset the xbox by holding the power button. When it reset it presented me with a black screen and error code E200 0000000A 00000000. So
    again I reset two more time getting to more different E200 codes E200 00000074 00000000 and E200 00000096 00000000. On the forth reset it resumed normal operation procedures but wouldn't allow me again to select things until I change batteries in the xbox
    controllers then everything worked properly again. I haven't turn it on today to see if it's still behaving as it should but and seeking some insight on the E200 codes as to be certain it's not something I have done or the machine is failing me after only
    2 weeks of owning it.

    The console is in the Xbox Preview Program and I have not yet tried the restore factory defaults as part of the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool.

    FYI, the restore factory defaults as part of the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool worked and my Xbox One is now working. Because I have had to do this so many times I have invested in an external hard drive to keep my games and apps on so that if this
    happens again I don't have to re-download 200-300GB worth of data.

    E200 can be caused by update issues. I would suggest following this link, and using the system update solution linked in this KB article. The same update solution
    listed in the e200 link would also apply for E201 errors. That said, if your console is only 3 days old I would highly suggest taking your using back to the retailer, and exchanging it for another one. Provided you keep your Xbox connected to the internet
    all the saves and settings are backed up to the cloud. You will however need to reinstall any games.

    Do you get any sort of error code ("0x00000000", "E200 ...")? Connect your console directly to your network with an ethernet cable to minimize any download errors. I do not know what steps you have tried to fix your problem.

    Since you just bought your Xbox today, you can try returning it to the store for an exchange.

    Thanks for replying! I've already tried the Ethernet cable. Xbox support literally said to exchange it, however I've noticed that every time I get an error and restart the update I get a 1-3% increase over the last time. Which is really weird
