I just got this Error code after a few of my apps wouldn't open after jumping out of game of BF1. So I used the restart console option in the All Settings. My Xbox restarts, the green screen comes up with the Xbox logo, and then I immediately get get a Black
Error Screen with two options to either restart my Xbox or Troubleshoot. So I try the restart again and it comes back to the black screen again. I'm like ****! I google search the Error Code it gives me "E200 00000074 00000000" and I find a few forum threads
about it from 4 years ago. I read through them and someone had posted a link about updating in Offline mode, so I read further and it has a fix if you just happen to have a 4gig flash drive handy and I did not. So I try the Troubleshooting option on the Black
screen, it gives me Restart, Reset to Factory, Power Off, Offline Update. I went with Reset to factory, it gave two options to either keep all my games and saves but uninstall your account or completely wipe the Xbox. I choose the first option. It took less
than 10mins to fix, I just had to remember my Xbox account password. I don't know what the problem was but I had the latest OS Version update from 3/29/2017 but obviously there are still a few issues with that update.

I'm getting the same thing but E200 00000074 00000000 and there is no information anywhere about it! Tried restarting numerous times.

Well after explaining to Microsoft staff that my retailer said their policy was no refunds or exchanges, they said they have to return the unit if i was looking for a refund. So, i called the retailer and informed them what the MS rep said, and they accepted
my return along with the opened game disk which i would no longer need. I'm glad i got out of that mess without loosing money. The warranty is way too short, just keep swapping units til your out of warranty and your out $500 on a new console, or trying to
sell any accessories/games you purchased along the way.

I may buy another xbox one some day... if they can make it reliable... i have a pong and an atari 2600 that still work.

My issue was the same. I had to reset my console to factory settings. Only then it revealed an issue with my wifi hardware and I could not get past the setup wizard because of this. The networking screen said wifi hardware was not working, and I needed to
send in for repair. My warranty expired exactly 2 weeks prior to this issue, and they want me to pay $135 for the repair.

Is Microsoft listening?!
