E200-00000074-00000000 Xbox One system.

I was playing my Xbox One system just fine about twelve hours ago and when I went to turn it on about an hour ago it went through the logo screen then loaded up a black screen with "Error contact support" in several languages with the code "E200 00000074
00000000" at the bottom of the screen. I have been unable to trouble shoot the issue aswell as unable to find any real answers to the problem.

There was NO system update that errored out while installing, I did not unplug or turn off the system during a loading or install session.

The only thing I could think of is that I got a message from either Microsoft or someone claiming to be Microsoft thanking me for purchasing Sunset Overdrive and giving me a code for some appearance items in the game. I selected the "use code" option at
the end of the message, waited for it to install, then logged off. Now the system will not turn on.

I am not sure if the two are connected or if it is a coincidence.

Today I started my Xbox one and got error message E200 00000074 00000000.

What does it mean and how can I fix it?

I'm getting the same thing but E200 00000074 00000000 and there is no information anywhere about it! Tried restarting numerous times.

yes im in the process of using those links for password recovery but it requires my device id which i cannot look at without access to my xbox1 system info which i cannot do becuase of an error code E200-00000074-00000000 which will not allow me to access anything on xbox

Hey there xMikeTheRipper!

First thing, keep in mind that so long as you've been connected to Xbox Live your saves are tied to your Gamertag, so resetting to factory settings would only delete the game's install and not your saves. Have you tried downloading the offline update again
onto a different USB drive to see if that helps? Make sure you're also downloading the correct file, as there are two different Offline Updates to choose from. Keep us in the loop with what's going on :0

You could attempt basic troubleshooting again like power cycling and hard resetting, you can even attempt a soft reset, it'll factory reset your xbox but you can keep your games and apps, however in the end if that does not work then you'd definitely have
to do the Offline Software update. First attempts to download OSUDT 2 then OSUDT 1, if those don't work then restore to factory defaults on your xbox one.
