    E106 Startup Error


    Something fairly odd had been occurring with my Xbox One over the past week.

    I've noticed it start to slow down. Not from any kind of internet lag, but major system lag. For example: When I load up any game, it takes 2x longer to lord anything. Then I noticed when I play Zombies in Spaceland on CoD Infinite warfare, the entire game would
    freeze for 2-5 second intervals making it nearly unplayable. Eventually things wouldn't load altogether or would freeze completely.

    Hard resetting the Xbox fixed it for the time being, but my xbox started slowing down more often and more dramatically over the course of a week, forcing me to hard-reset every 1-2 days. Then just today, during a game of Zombies that had been working perfectly
    all day, the game suddenly completely crashed out of nowhere. Wen't immediately to black-screen. The home menu was also frozen, as was the home button on the xbox.

    I tried restarting it. When I turned it back on, it took a good 2-3 minutes for the green (Xbox One) loading screen to pop up, then it went right to black screen. I hard-reset the xbox and got the same result.

    I eventually gave up and left it for two hours.

    I came back to try again after leaving it unplugged all that time. It still took 2 minutes to load green screen but then, after about 10 minutes, I got the "Something went wrong" message with the E106 error code.

    I have been unable to access my dashboard ever since the initial game crash on zombies..

    I looked on the support articles that had E-Codes referenced, but it didn't list an E106 code. So I figured I'd post here to try and get some help. I figured I could possibly work to restore my entire system to factory default but I'm really unsure what
    to do. I'm really stumped.. =/

    The Full error code is: E106 0000000A C0000102

    Any help anyone could give me would be very much appreciated!

    Would love to get back to killing zombies soon! =)

    Startup Error Code E106

    I have the exact same issue but its the E100 error. The update preview program I signed up for has caused me A LOT OF TROUBLE

    Xbox cuts on but won’t power up to the main screen

    Error E106 occurs when you try to turn on your console

    You see one of the following error codes when you try to turn on your console:

    • E106
    • E106 xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
    Note The “x” digits vary.

    Solution

    To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One startup error troubleshooter      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E106.
    3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

    And how am I supposed to update my Xbox when it's in an infinite loop of errors E101 and E106 because the startup is damaged?
