    E106 Error


    I tried to download Fifa 20 last night. My screen started getting lighter and eventually the Xbox turned off. I've tried to do a system restore but it seems to freeze and nothing happens. It's now at the stage where the xbox light will go on for 10-30 seconds
    and the machine will turn it's self off.

    The error E106 was showing yesterday, today there's just a black screen.

    You see one of the following error codes when you try to turn on your console:

    • E106
    • E106 xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
    Note The “x” digits vary.

    Solution

    To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One startup error troubleshooter      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E106.
    3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.
