    Two days ago, my Xbox One S was stuck on a loading screen, so i soft reset it. When i turned it back on, it briefly showed an "e106" error. I hard reset, and now it won't boot at all.

    It will turn on and chime, but nothing appears on screen. I've ruled out bad HDMI cables or ports by testing using the cable/port for another system that still works fine.

    Nothing sounds different with the hardware. The drive spins, and It will take and eject discs without issue.

    I can't boot into recovery mode. I've tried holding the bind/sync and eject buttons when turning it on about 20 times, it never does anything different. Never plays the second chime the way the instructions say.

    It's been plugged into a surge protector for the life of the system, but I've also tried changing electrical outlets too. No change.

    I take good care of my systems and I have no idea how this would have happened. I'm really bummed that my only Microsoft support option is to pay $115 to fix a system that's worth about $200 now.

    Has anybody else experienced these symptoms and found a way to revive it?

    error code e106

    My xbox was getting the green screen of death so I decided to factory reset it. When I do it, it gets stuck on 66% and says something went wrong and gives me the error code E106 00000002 8007001f. I tried looking up error code E106 but I couldn't find anything

    Bump.

    Tried pulling the drive and manually loading the files from the OSU1.zip to it, but I'm still getting the same behavior. I suppose I can try reformatting the whole thing as a last resort.
